This study was conducted to explore the fan culture of elementary school students by grasping the implications of the fan activity patterns and fan activities of elementary school students based on qualitative research. For the purpose of conducting the research, an open questionnaire was conducted for the 4th-6th graders of an elementary school located in Changwon-si, where the researcher is working, and six research participants who made major reports as a result of the open questionnaire were selected. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and observations of major research participants, and research results were derived through inductive categorization. As a result of the study, the pattern of fan activity of elementary school students was organized by the start of fan activity, the way they were fan activity, and the reaction of parents to fan activity. Students started fan activities for stars of various occupations from the 3rd to 4th grade, and it was found that they mainly engaged in watching fan activities at home due to the spread of smartphones. Parents' reactions were ‘negative’, ‘positive’, and ‘indifferent type’. The implications of this aspect of fan activity have been summarized into extrovertism, emotional rest and comfort, excessive immersion and practical limitations that respect various individualities. The students liked the star, driven by the star's outgoing appearance, but their favorite outward appearance was inconsistent and they respected various personalities. In addition, I was getting emotional rest and comfort through fan activities. However, he was aware of the practical limitations of wasting time and money due to excessive immersion, damage to health, and the fact that stars would not be able to recognize their fan activities. Based on the above research results, it was suggested to revise the contents of the curriculum to form a correct fan culture and to strengthen parental culture literacy education.

본 연구는 질적 연구를 토대로 초등학생의 팬 활동 양상과 팬 활동 양상이 갖는 함의를 파악하 여 초등학생의 팬 문화를 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구수행을 위해 연구자가 재직 하고 있는 창원시 소재 초등학교 4-6학년을 대상으로 개방형 설문을 진행하였으며, 개방형 설문 결과 주요한 제보를 한 6명의 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 주요 연구참여자들을 대상으로 심층면 담 및 관찰을 통해 자료를 수집하고 귀납적 범주화를 통해 연구결과를 도출하였다. 연구 결과 초등학생의 팬 활동 양상은 팬 활동의 시작, 팬 활동 방식, 팬 활동에 대한 부모의 반응으로 정리되었다. 학생들은 다양한 직종의 스타에 대한 팬 활동을 3~4학년 시기부터 시작 하고 있었고, 스마트폰의 보급에 따라 집에서 혼자 시청형 팬 활동을 주로 하는 것으로 나타났 다. 부모의 반응은 ‘부정형’, ‘긍정형’, ’무관심형‘으로 나타났다. 이러한 팬 활동 양상이 갖는 함의는 다양한 개성을 존중하는 외향 지향 주의, 정서적 안식과 위 안처, 과도한 몰입과 현실적 한계로 정리되었다. 학생들은 스타의 외향적인 모습에 이끌려 스타 를 좋아하지만 좋아하는 외향이 일관되지 않고 다양한 개성을 존중하고 있었다. 더불어 팬 활동 을 통해 정서적 안식과 위안을 얻고 있었다. 하지만 과도한 몰입으로 인한 시간과 돈 낭비, 건 강상의 피해와 스타가 자신의 팬 활동을 알아주지 못할 거라는 현실적 한계를 인식하고 있었다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 올바른 팬 문화 형성을 위한 교육과정 내용 개정 및 학부모의 문 화 리터러시 교육 강화를 제언하였다.
