The purpose of this study is to investigate the applicability of educational plays in poetry education through role play cases in elementary school education and to seek directions for poetry education using educational plays in the future. To this end, through literature research, we will find the basis for educational play to be used in literature education. In addition, it is intended to present the actual practice of literature classes using educational plays. Literature-related units will be extracted from Korean language textbooks and classes will be reorganized based on the achievement level and standards of the national curriculum. As a result of the study, poetry may be unfamiliar in elementary school, but if you teach poetry in the form of a play, you will not only experience the content of the poem through action, but also have an opportunity to naturally share your individual thoughts and feelings about poetry. In addition, it was confirmed that the students were able to create poetry in an easy and friendly way by having the opportunity to naturally express their everyday life when they felt the emotion of poetry.

이 연구의 목적은, 초등학교 교육의 역할극 사례를 통해 시(詩)교육에서의 교육연극의 활용가능 성에 대해 규명하고 향후 교육연극을 활용한 시교육의 방향을 모색하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위 해 문헌연구를 통하여 교육연극이 문학교육에 활용될 준거를 찾아볼 것이다. 또한 교육연극을 활용한 문학수업의 실제를 제시하고자 한다. 국어과 교과서에서 문학관련 단원을 추출하고 국 가수준교육과정의 성취수준과 기준을 토대로 수업을 재구성할 것이다. 연구결과, 초등학교에서 시는 생소할 수도 있으나 학생들에게 시를 연극 형식으로 가르쳐 주면 시의 내용을 행동으로 체험하게 될 뿐만 아니라 시에 대한 개별 생각이나 느낌을 자연스럽게 공유할 수 있는 기회를 가지게 된다. 뿐만 아니라 시의 감정을 느낄 때 일상생활 속의 모습을 자연스럽게 표현할 수 있 는 기회를 가짐으로서 학생들이 쉽고 친근하게 시를 창작할 수 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
