This study is a narrative study that explores the experiences and meanings of raising a biological child and adopted children together through the life story of an adoptive mother. The purpose of this study is to help the overall understanding of adoptive mothers with children and provide basic data to the clinical field through the life stories and stories of adoptive mothers with children who have the peculiarity of forming a new family by welcoming adopted children as children even though they have biological children. The study participant was a mother raising one biological child and three adopted children. To collect data, a total of 5 hours of interview was conducted in August 2021, and an additional interview was conducted in April 2022 for 2 hours. As a result of the study, the experiences of the participants in the study were ‘dream of adoption’, ‘full of happiness’, ‘struggle to survive’, and ‘live with the adoption story’. In addition, the meaning of the experience of fostering adoptive mothers with children was revealed as 'the process of living again.' and 'a life full of abundance.' It is expected that the understanding of the experience of fostering adoptive mothers with children through narrative inquiry will be understood and accepted as diversity and specificity to become basic data for activating psychological and emotional support for adoptive mothers with children.

본 연구는 유자녀 입양모의 삶의 이야기를 통하여 친생자녀와 입양자녀를 함께 양육하 는 과정에서의 경험과 그 의미를 탐구한 내러티브 연구이다. 이 연구는 친생자녀가 있음 에도 입양아동을 자녀로 맞이해 새로운 가정을 형성한 특수성을 가진 유자녀 입양모의 살아온 이야기, 다시 살아가는 이야기를 통해 유자녀 입양모에 대한 총체적인 이해를 돕 고 임상 현장에 제공할 수 있는 기초자료 형성에 그 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 친생자 녀 1명과 입양자녀 3명을 양육하는 1명의 어머니다. 자료 수집을 위하여 2021년 8월 총 5 시간의 면담을 진행하였고, 2022년 4월 추가 인터뷰를 2시간 진행하였으며 면담 내용을 전사한 축어록과 연구 참여자의 작품을 연구 자료로 활용하였다. 연구 결과 연구 참여자 의 경험 이야기는 ‘입양을 꿈꾸다’, ‘충만한 행복’, ‘살아내려고 몸부림치다’, ‘입양이야기와 함께 살아내다’로 나타났다. 또한 유자녀 입양모의 양육경험의 의미는 ‘다시 살아내는 과 정’, ‘풍성함이 가득한 인생’으로 나타났다. 내러티브 탐구를 통한 유자녀 입양모의 양육경 험을 다양성과 특수성으로 이해하고 수용하여 유자녀 입양모의 심리정서 지원의 활성화 를 위한 기초자료가 되기를 기대한다.
