Kim, Min-soo. (2007). A Critical Analysis of the Double Translated Theoretical Books on the Humanity. Interpreting and Translation Studies 10-2, pp.47-68. The humanity is a science of concepts. When translating of theoretical books on the humanity into the Korean language, translators must pay a lot of attention to lexical, syntactic and semantic structure of the original text in order to reflect not only its meaning, but also logic of the author’s statement completely. The present study investigates the critical analysis of the Korean translation of Michael Bakhtin’s "The Epos and the Novel", which is translated into Korean from English translation. As a result of the comparative analysis of the original with English translation and the Korean translation, it has appeared that in the consequence of double translation, there were many distortions of concepts and deformations of logic of the original text.
