Objective: This study aims to confirm the time use of the developmentally disabled participating in vocational rehabilitation and to suggest a occupational balance according to such use. Methods: An occupational questionnaire was used to investigate the time use and occupational balance among 106 people with developmental disabilities participating in vocational rehabilitation programs. The data were analyzed by applying descriptive statistics and ANOVA. Results: It was found that people with developmental disabilities spend less time performing daily activities in the work area of their daily life, and spend more time in leisure activities and sleeping than others in the same age group. The types of occupation were daily activity type 5.7%, excessive leisure type 27.4%, excessive work type 36.8%, and occupational balance type 30.2%. The work type and the work area of daily life are closely related, and the occupational balance type had a positive effect on the occupational area. Conclusion: People with developmental disabilities can perform community activities through vocational rehabilitation, and can balance their time use and occupation in each occupational area. In the future, it is thought that systematic support in consideration of occupational balance will be needed for access or intervention in people with developmental disabilities.

목적 : 본 연구는 직업재활에 참여하고 있는 발달장애인의 시간사용을 확인하고, 시간사용에 따른 작업균 형을 제시하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 직업재활 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 발달장애인 106명에게 시간사용과 작업균형을 조사하기 위하여 Occupational Questionnaire를 사용하였다. 자료는 기술통계와 ANOVA을 실시하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 발달장애인은 동일 연령 취업자보다 일상생활의 작업영역에서 일상생활수행 시간이 적고, 여가활동 시간과 수면 시간이 많은 것을 알 수 있었다. 작업유형은 일상활동 유형 5.7%, 여가과다 유형 27.4%, 노동과다 유형 36.8%, 작업균형 유형 30.2%였다. 작업유형과 일상생활의 작업영역은 밀접한 연관을 가 지고 있으며, 작업균형 유형일수록 작업영역에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 결론 : 직업재활에 참여하고 있는 발달장애인은 시간사용 조율과 각 작업영역간의 작업균형을 맞출 수 있다. 추후, 발달장애인에 대한 접근이나 중재에 작업균형을 고려한 체계화된 지원이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
