Death and loss are linked to the process of mourning. The Korean church has long been helping the mourning process in worship and liturgy through memorial services. However, in these worship-oriented times, bereaved families often do not fully deal with the sense of loss that they are experiencing. In these areas, the church should make efforts to help provide the remaining bereaved families with sufficient condolences through pre-and post-death. These contents were theoretically identified as characteristics of mourning for Christian (pastoral) counseling. Another point of view is that, based on story therapy, a practical approach can be presented that could reflect the process of mourning in the memorial ceremony. The "blessing interview" program conducted at the existing church site was analyzed as a case study, and the possibility of applying the blessing interview to memorial ceremonies was suggested. In addition, it also proposed additional programs that can be linked. Humans often experience feelings of death, loss, and mourning as feelings to be suppressed. However, in a Korean society where the problem of death is highlighted more, Korean churches need to rethink the process of mourning so that it can occur in a way that reminiscences of the bereaved families, instead of focusing on unsolved mourning.

죽음, 상실은 애도의 과정과 연결된다. 한국교회는 오래전부터 이런 추 모(추도)예식을 통해 애도과정을 예배와 예전으로 돕고 있었다. 하지만 예 배 중심의 시간에서 유족들은 그들이 경험하고 있는 상실에서 비롯된 애도 를 충분히 다루지 못하는 경우가 있다. 이런 부분들에 대해 교회가 개인의 죽음 이전과 이후를 통해 남은 유족들에게 충분한 애도를 도울 수 있는 부 분들을 준비해야 한다. 이런 내용들을 이론적으로는 기독(목회)상담의 애도 상담의 부분으로 확인했다. 또 다른 관점으로 이야기치료를 기반으로 추모 (추도)예식에 애도상담의 과정이 반영될 수 있는 실제적인 접근접을 제시했 다. 기존 교회현장에서 실시중인 ‘블레싱 인터뷰’ 프로그램을 사례연구로 분 석하고, 블레싱 인터뷰를 추도(추모)예식에 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 제시 했다. 또한 이와 더불어 연결시킬 수 있는 추가 프로그램을 제안했다. 우리 인간은 보통 죽음과 상실, 애도의 감정은 억누르는 감정으로 받아들여 오고 있다. 하지만 죽음의 문제가 더욱 부각되는 한국사회에서 애도의 과정이 유 족들에게 미해결된 애도가 아니라, 스스로 통제하고 제어할 수 있는 추억의 관점에서 이뤄질 수 있도록 접근하는 고려가 한국교회에 필요하다.
