- The purpose of this study is to find a plan for inter-Korean coexistence as one of the solutions to the national crisis caused by the low birth phenomenon in Korea. As a preemptive alternative to the plan for inter-Korean coexistence in the future, we focused on the possibility of the role of North Korean defectors and Japanese Koreans. The research results are as follows. First, in the case of North Korean defectors, it is necessary to clarify the cause of the poor social security index compared to the general population, and to find a way to resolve differences through exchange and cooperation with the general population. Second, through people-to-people exchanges with the 5 North Koreans, the 5 North Koreans will be able to relieve their longing for their hometown, and the North Korean defectors will be able to fill in each other's shortcomings by passing on the know-how of settling in South Korean society. Third, in the case of Japanese-Koreans, moving toward a symbiotic society with Japan despite discrimination and exclusion in Japanese society will be a message of inter-Korean symbiosis. Fourth, the trial and error of conflict and reconciliation between Mindan and Chochongryon in Japanese society will be an implication for inter-Korean integration. Fifth, the steady contribution of Japanese- Koreans to their home country is thought to have another role only for Japanese-Koreans for the future inter-Korean coexistence.

- 본 연구는 우리나라의 저출산 현상으로 인한 국가위기의 해결책의 하나로 남북공생 방안 모색을 그 목적으로 설정하였다. 향후 남북공생을 위한 방안모색의 선제적 대안으로 북한이 탈주민과 재일코리안의 역할 가능성에 방점을 두었다. 연구결과, 먼저 북한이탈주민의 경우, 첫째, 일반주민에 비해 사회보장 지표가 뚜렷이 열 악한 원인을 밝히고, 일반주민과의 교류와 협력을 통한 이질감 해소방안을 찾아야 한다는 점이며, 둘째, 이북5도민과의 인적교류를 통하여 이북5도민은 고향에 대한 그리움의 해소를 북한이탈주민은 남한사회 정착의 노하우를 전수받음으로써 서로의 부족한 부분을 채워줄 수 있다는 점이다. 다음으로 재일코리안의 경우, 첫째, 일본사회에서의 차별과 편견 안에서도 한 걸음 한 걸 음 일본(호스트국가)과의 공생사회로 가는 모습은 남북공생의 메시지가 될 것이며, 둘째, 일 본사회 안에서의 민단과 조총련 간의 갈등과 화해의 시행착오는 남북통합을 위한 시사점이 될 것이며, 셋째, 재일코리안의 모국에 대한 꾸준한 기여는 향후 남북공생을 위해서라면 재 일코리안 그들만의 역할이 또 있을 것으로 사료된다.

- 140여개 국에 분산된 세계 한민족을 연구 대상으로 하고 이들 재외동포의 역사, 사회 문화 등의 모든 현상을 연구하고 재외 동포들의 경제생활 법적 문제 등을 연구함을 목적으로 한다. 따라서 재외 한인 연구회는 그 기반이 사회과학 인문과학 전 분야에 해당한다. 재외한인학회는 사회과학 인문과학의 모든 분야 학자들이 어느 나라에 거주하는 동포이건 관계없이 우리 동포를 연구 대상으로 한 학자들이 모임으로 회원들간의 상호 관심분야를 토의하고 상호 자료를 교환하여 각자의 연구 시야를 확대하고 학제간의 연구를 통하여 재외한인 연구의 진일보를 그 목적으로 한다. 더 나아가 한인 동포를 연구한 외국 학자와 긴밀한 연계를 갖고 공동 연구를 추진한다.
