In this study, antagonism, futurism, deconstructionism, and minimalism, which are the characteristics of avant-garde, were studied in order to explore various creative designs by studying nail art with avant-garde characteristics. Avant-garde, meaning 'avant-garde', is an art that rejects the past and pursues novelty through the direction of the present and the future, and has characteristics of hostility, futurism, deconstructionism, and minimalism. The characteristics of futurism are expressed by exaggerated and distorted hostility characteristics that break away from tradition, and by giving a feeling of brilliance and luster with colors such as gold and silver. As a method of expressing the characteristics of deconstructionism, a three-dimensional and original design was produced in the form of various objects and collages. It can be seen that the common characteristics of these works are that they provide imagination and ideas for design by using the collage technique and various objects that break away from and deconstruct all restrained forms in expression. This study examined the characteristics of avant-garde expressed in nail art. Through this study, the meaning of unique new design and creative design can be found, which can serve as the foundation for the development of the beauty industry.

본 연구에서는 아방가르드 특성이 나타난 네일아트를 연구함으로서 다양한 창조적인 디자인을 모색하고자 아방가르드 특성인 적대주의, 미래주의, 해체주의, 미니멀리즘에 대하여 연구하였다. ‘전위(vangaurd)'를 뜻하는 아방가르드는 과거를 거부하고 현대와 미래의 지향성을 통해 새로움을 추구하는 예술로서 적대주의, 미래주의, 해체주의, 미니멀리즘의 특성을 가지고 있다. 전통을 탈피한 과장되고 외곡된 적대주의 특성과 골드와 실버 등의 컬러로 반짝임과 광택의 느낌을 주어 미래주의 특성이 표현되었다. 해체주의 특성을 표현한 방법으로는 다양한 오브제와 꼴라주 형태로 입체적이고 독창적인 디자인을 연출하였다. 이들 작품의 공통된 특징은 표현에 있어서 모든 속박된 양식을 탈피하고 해체하는 콜라주 기법 및 다양한 오브제를 사용하여 디자인에 대한 상상력과 아이디어 를 제공하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 네일아트에 표현된 아방가르드 특성을 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통해 개성있는 새로운 디자인, 창조적인 디자인의 의미를 찾을 수 있고 이는 미용산업 발전의 밑거름이 될 수 있다.
