The purpose of this study is to construct a worldview for transmedia storytelling of the Myeongjuboweolbing series. Myeongjuboweolbing series has a vast volume and high value. So, In this study, a worldview of Myeongjuboweolbing seires was constructed focus on core elements of the worldview, Mythos, Topos, Ethos. Mythos is the key to understanding the story world. Mythos in the Myeongjuboweolbing series is ‘The world where the dominance of the spiritual master Yunhyeon and the guardian Hwadosa is affected’, ‘The world where bad monks uses the evil pill made by Kim, Hu-seop.’, ‘The world where fatalism and a fatalistic view of fate coexist’, and ‘The world in which independent family histories have close relationship’. Topos is about a specific point in time and a geopolitical space in the world. Topos in the Myeongjuboweolbing series is a real time ranging from Jinjong Song to Injing, an unreal time in which past and reincarnation exist, a real space where Yun·Ha·Jeong·Um family work, and a boundary space where reality and fantasy world coexist, and an unreal space such as the underworld or heaven. Ethos is the ethical norm that governs the world of novel. Ethos in the Myeongjuboweolbing series is ‘The world that keeps the faith of the relationship created by Myeongju and Boweol’, ‘The world in which they adapt as members of a family by keeping the family life norms to maintain their marriage’, ‘The world in which family should be prioritized over individual desires’, ‘The world where sinocenter and barbarian are separated’, ‘The world where the state can ask the state to solve individual problems’, ‘The world that strictly follows the Neo-Confucian order but is flexible in using kwondo’. Based on this study, transmedia storytelling that spreads the Myeongjuboweolbing series to various media platforms will be possible.

이 연구는 <명주보월빙> 연작의 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링을 하기 위해서 세계관 구축 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. <명주보월빙> 연작은 현존 작품 중 분량이 가장 방대하고 국문 장편소설사적 가치도 높은 작품이다. 이에 본고에서는 미토스, 토포스, 에토스라는 세계관 의 핵심 요소를 중심으로 <명주보월빙> 연작의 세계관을 구축하였다. 미토스는 이야기 세계를 이해하기 위한 핵심 지식이다. 본고에서는 <명주보월빙> 연작의 미토스를 ‘정신적 지주 윤현과 수호자 화도사의 지배력이 영향을 미치는 세계’, ‘김후섭이 만든 요약을 신묘 랑, 청선이고 등과 같은 요괴 요승이 사용하는 세계’, ‘정명론적 운명론과 입명론적 운명관 이 공존하는 세계’, ‘윤·하·정 세 가문의 독립적인 가문사가 유기적인 관계를 갖는 세계’ 로 구축하였다. 토포스는 해당 세계의 특정 시점과 지정학적 공간에 대한 것이다. <명주보 월빙> 연작의 시간은 송 진종에서 인종까지 이르는 현실 시간과 전생과 환생이 존재하는 비현실 시간으로 이루어진다. 한편 공간은 윤‧하‧정‧엄부가 주로 활동하는 현실 공간, 현실 과 판타지 세계가 공존하는 경계 공간, 저승이나 천상 같은 비현실 공간으로 이루어진다. 에토스는 작품 세계를 지배하는 규칙이다. <명주보월빙> 연작의 에토스는 ‘명주와 보월로 비롯한 인연의 신의를 지키는 세계’, ‘윤·하·정 세 가문의 생활 규범을 지키며 각 가문의 구성원으로 적응해 가는 세계’, ‘개인의 욕망보다 가문이 우선되어야 하는 세계’, ‘중화와 이적이 구분되는 세계’, ‘개인의 문제 해결을 국가에 요구할 수 있는 세계’, ‘성리학적 질서를 엄격하게 따르지만 권도를 사용할 수 있는 융통성이 있는 세계’이다. 세계관 구축은 트랜스 미디어 스토리텔링에서 서사 확장의 기틀을 잡는 작업이다. 이를 토대로 <명주보월빙> 연작 을 다양한 미디어 플랫폼으로 확산하는 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링이 가능할 것이다.
