Najugeukjang is a regional theater in Naju that was established in the 1930s and operated continuously until the 1990s after liberation and turbulence. And Najugeukjang is a special cultural heritage where the theater architecture has been preserved until the present time, the 2020s. Due to its long history, Naju City decided to preserve this theater in the 2020s, and as a result, it is given the heavy duty of cleaning up its historicity. The Naju area also includes Yeongsanpo. Yeongsanpo Theater and Yeongsanpojunganggeukjang existed in Yeongsanpo. Yeongsanpogeukjang was the older theater, and Yeongsanpojunganggeukjang was a competing theater. The two theaters were established with a time difference, and as a result, Yeongsanpogeukjang became a theater with tradition and history, and Yeongsanpojunganggeukjang was established as a theater with both personality and sophistication. These theaters has become a communication channel for culture and art in the Naju region, a place to inspire local people's entertainment and emotions, as well as a sense of culture and culture, and a key space in the community and a landmark in the city. Research on Najugeukjang is inevitably a study of not only the screening space for plays and films, but also a study of the region, culture, historical transformation, and social foundation. Naturally, these studies are expected to provide an opportunity to examine not only cultural change and growth, but also change and growth of regions and societies. Therefore, a study on theaters in Yeongsanpo area, centering on Najugeukjang, can help the overall understanding of Naju and surrounding areas.
