국내 디지털 치료제 활성화 방안을 위한 고찰
A Study on Digital Therapeutics and Their Possibilities on Disease Control

The increase in patients with mental illness due to COVID-19 is a global phenomenon, and the interest in digital therapeutics is increasing as the number of patients who are not receiving effectually hospital treatment due to the difficulty of face-to-face treatment. In this era, digital healthcare is attracting attention, and, especially, digital therapeutics are in the spotlight. In this study, we clarified the conception of digital therapeutics, and analyzed the digital therapeutics-related industries in the United States, Europe, Japan, Germany, digital therapeutics development trends, market forecasts by field and disease, and regulatory trends. By analyzing the problems of the regulation of digital therapeutics in Korea, which have not yet been activated and commercialized, we proposed a plan to activate digital therapeutics in Korea by adoption of the advantages of overseas regulatory trends and guidelines. As a result of this study, it would be expected that the digital therapeutics market in Korea is also expanded and activated.

COVID-19로 인해 정신질환 환자의 증가가 세계적 현상이며, 대면 치료의 어려움으로 인해 병원 치료를 제대 로 받지 못하는 환자가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 시대적 상황에서 디지털 헬스케어가 관심을 끌고 있으며, 이 가운데 특 히 디지털 치료제가 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반 치료제와 디지털 치료제의 장단점을 확인하고, 미국, 유 럽, 영국, 독일, 일본 등 디지털 치료제 선진국들의 디지털 치료제 개발 동향 및 디지털 치료제의 분야별, 질환별 시 장 전망과 규제 동향 등 해외의 디지털 치료제 관련 산업에 대해 조사∙분석하였다. 또한 활성화 및 상용화가 미진한 우리나라 디지털 치료제의 개발 현황에 대해 분석하고, 해외의 규제 동향 및 가이드라인의 장점 수용을 통해 국내 디 지털 치료제의 활성화 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 우리나라의 디지털 치료제 시장 확장과 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
