Korea's small and medium-sized venture companies are experiencing quantitative growth, but their qualitative growth is still insufficient. Therefore, research on the survival and growth of small and medium-sized venture companies is needed more than ever. This study empirically analyzed the effect of a company's global competitiveness capabilities on business performance for the born-global firms in Korea. The purpose of this study is to verify the main factors affecting business performance among the global competitiveness capabilities of firm based on the GCL Test data surveyed by KOTRA. In addition, the purpose of the study is to compare the differences and similarities of factors between business performance, satisfaction with achievement of firm performance and export performance. In this study, global competetiveness capabilities were divided into three main categories: preparation capability(Professional manpower), utilization capability(networks), and in-depth capability(market strategy, product). A total of three hypotheses were empirically analyzed for 348 born-global firms in Korea. As result show, market strategy, networks, and product capabilities had a positive (+) effect on satisfaction with achievement of firm performance. Professional manpower and network capabilities had a positive (+) effect on export performance. Corporate characteristics did not affect satisfaction with achievement of firm performance. However, industry and business year had a positive (+) effect on export performance. The analysis results show that there are differences and similarities in major factors affecting business performance. Therefore, practical implications both on satisfaction with achievement of firm performance and export performance are suggested. In addition, this study has implications for future research in that it empirically analyzes the relationship between Korea's born-global firm performance and global competitiveness capability.

한국의 중소벤처기업은 양적 성장을 보이고 있지만, 질적 성장이 미흡한 시점이다. 따라서 중소벤처기업의 생존과 성장을 위한 연 구가 그 어느 때 보다 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 한국의 본글로벌기업들을 대상으로 기업의 글로벌화 역량이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 을 실증분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 KOTRA에서 제공하는 GCL Test 데이터를 기반으로 본글로벌기업의 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 주요한 글로벌화 역량을 검증하는 데 연구의 목적 있다. 또한, 결과변수인 경영성과를 질·양 적 측면을 고려하여 경영성과달성만족과 수출성과 두 가지를 구분하고, 경영성과의 선행요인의 차이점과 유사점을 비교하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 선행요인을 글벌화역량을 중심으로 구분하는데 크게 세 가지로 준비역량, 활용역량, 심화역량 설정하였으며, 구체적으로는 9가지 선행요인이 경영성과에 미치 는 영향을 검증하였다. 총 3개의 가설을 국내 241개 본글로벌기업을 대상으로 탐색적 실증분석 하였다. 분석 결과, 경영성과달성만족 에는 시장전략과 네트워크 역량이 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 알 수 있었다. 수출성과에는 전문인력과 네트워크 역량이 정(+)의 영향 을 주었다. 기업특성은 경영성과달성만족에는 영향을 미치지 않았고, 산업이 수출성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 분석 결과, 경영성과 만족과 수출성과에 영향을 주는 주요 요인에 차이와 유사가 있다는 것을 보였다. 이는 경영성과만족과 수출성과 개선을 위해서는 다 른 노력 그리고 공통된 노력이 필요하다는 실무적 시사점을 도출할 수 있다. 더불어 본 연구는 한국의 본글로벌기업 경영성과와 글로 벌화 역량 간의 관계를 실증 분석한 점에서 앞으로 학술적 연구에 이바지한다.
