This study analyzes the The effect of internal and external network tie strength and centrality which are characteristics of foreign subsidiaries of Korean corporate, on the reverse knowledge transfer to HQ’s, focusing on the moderating effext of explorative and exploitative capability of foreign subsidiries. The results of an empirical analysis of 248 foreign subsidiaries of 83 Korean listed companies are as follows The internal network tie strength and centrality had a significant positive (+) effect on the reverse knowledge transfer to the HQ’s, but external network tie strength and centrality were all found to have a significant negative (-) effect on the reverse knowledge transfer to the HQ’s. In addition, as a result of the moderating effect analysis, it was found that the exploration capability moderates the negative influence of external network tie strength and centrality on the reverse knowledge transfer to the HQ’s in a positive (+) direction. Exploitative capability was found to moderating the positive effect of internal network tie strength on the reverse knowledge transfer to the HQ’s in a positive (+) direction, and the effect of external network tie strength and centrality on reverse knowledge transfer to the HQ’s. It was found that negative influence was mederating on the negative (-) direction. This study examines the relationship between network characteristics and reverse knowledge transfer for foreign subsidiaries of Korean corportate, and examines the moderating role of the subsidiary's explorative capability and exploitive capability in the relationship between network characteristics and reverse knowledge transfer. It is expected that it will be able to present meaningful academic and practical implications in this respect.

본 연구는 한국기업 해외자회사의 내·외부 네트워크 연결강도와 중심성이 본사로의 역지식이전에 미치는 영향을 탐색적 역량과 활 용적 역량의 조절효과를 중심으로 실증분석한다. 83개 한국 상장기업의 해외자회사 248개사를 대상으로 실증분석을 실시한 결과 내 부 네트워크 연결강도와 중심성이 본사로의 역지식이전에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤지만, 외부 네트워크 연결강도와 중심성은 모두 본사로의 역지식이전에 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조절효과 분석결과 탐색적 역량은 외부 네트워크 연결강도와 중심성이 본사로의 역지식이전에 미치는 부정적인 영향을 정(+)의 방향으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 활용적 역량은 내부 네트워크 연결강도가 본사로의 역지식이전에 미치는 긍정적인 영향을 정(+)의 방향으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났으며, 외부 네트워크 연결강도 와 중심성이 본사로의 역지식이전에 미치는 부정적 영향을 부(-)의 방향으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 한국기업의 해외자회사들을 대상으로 네트워크 특성과 역지식이전 간 연관성을 규명하고 있다는 점, 그리고 네트워크 특 성과 역지식이전 간 관계의 자회사의 탐색적 역량과 활용적 역량의 조절역할을 규명했다는 점에서 의미있는 학술적, 실무적 시사점을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
