In our society, anxiety about criminal behavior towards an unspecified majority is growing extremely, and criminal behavior is generally characterized as a case of violence against an unspecified majority without a clear motive for the crime. In our society, anxiety about criminal behavior towards an unspecified majority is growing extremely, and criminal behavior is generally characterized as a case of violence against an unspecified majority without a clear motive for the crime. These crimes are referred to as non-uniform criminal behaviors such as ‘don’t ask crimes’, ‘unmotivated crimes’, ‘anger urge crimes’, and ‘random crimes’, and there is no clear concept defined criminologically. Therefore, by examining crimes with unclear motives that have been discussed in various ways, we will conceptualize them as ‘Abnormal Motive Criminal’ and refer to them as criminological academic terms. And in order to examine these types of criminals in detail, various types of Abnormal Motive Criminals have been analyzed, such as personal, social, and criminal behavior characteristics, by presenting the types of Abnormal Motive Criminals and analyzing their tendencies. In order to analyze the propensity of Abnormal Motive Criminals, the research analysis was conducted through the judgment of the first instance court, and the collected data were selected and analyzed as 398 cases among the D/B data of the Supreme Court. In order to analyze the types and characteristics of Abnormal Motive Criminals, two-step cluster analysis was used to categorize criminals through related characteristics. By carrying out this analysis step, ‘Abnormal Motive Criminal’ were considered, statistics and case analysis were conducted through the sentence of the criminal, and the propensity of the criminal was analyzed. Therefore, this study is intended to be utilized in establishing investigation strategies by experts related to investigations or criminal investigations and interviews, by examining 'Abnormal Motive' crimes, establishing criminological studies and predicting and analyzing the propensity of criminals.

우리 사회에서 불특정 다수를 향한 범죄행동에 대해 불안감이 극도로 커지고 있으며, 범죄행동은 일반적으로 범죄의 동기가 뚜렷하지 않고 불특정 다수에게 폭력을 행해지는 경우로 나타나고 있다. 이러 한 범죄는 ‘묻지마 범죄’, ‘무동기 범죄’, ‘분노충동 범죄’, ‘무차별 범죄’ 등 통일되지 않은 범죄행동으로 지칭되고 있으며, 범죄학적으로도 명확한 개념이 정의되지 않고 있다. 따라서 다양하게 논의되었던 동기 가 불분명한 범죄를 고찰하여 이를 ‘이상동기 범죄’로 개념화하여 범죄학적 학술용어로 지칭하고자 한다. 그리고 이러한 유형의 범죄자들을 구체적으로 살펴보기 위해서 지금까지 발생한 이상동기 범죄자의 성향을 개인적·사회적·범죄행동 특성 등 다양하게 분석을 실시하여 이상동기 범죄자의 유형을 제시하 여 성향을 분석하였다. 연구분석은 이상동기 범죄자의 성향을 분석하기 위해 법원 1심 판결문을 통해 분석하였고, 수집된 자료는 대법원에서 D/B화 된 자료 중 398건으로 선정하여 분석하였다. 이상동기 범죄자의 유형 및 특성 분석을 진행하기 위해 2단계 군집분석(2-step cluster analysis)을 사용하여 관련 특성들을 통해 범죄자를 유형화를 실시하였다. 이러한 분석 단계를 실시하여 ‘이상동기 범죄’를 고찰하고, 범죄자의 판결문을 통해 통계 및 사례 분석을 실시하며, 범죄자의 성향을 분석을 진행하였다. 따라서 이 연구는 이상동기 범죄를 고찰하여, ‘이상동기 범죄’를 범죄학적 학문의 정립과 범죄자의 성향을 예측 및 분석하여, 수사관 련 전문가 또는 범죄자 조사 및 면담 등 전문가의 조사 전략 수립에 활용되고자 연구되었다.
