The purpose of this study is to examine the trends of online game crime-related research. To this end, 50 papers published after 2002 were analyzed according to research topics, research subjects, research methods, game types, and crime types. As a result of the analysis, first, other regulatory-related studies and criminality studies were the most common analysis of research topics. Second, in the classification according to the study subjects, others were the highest, followed by adolescents and middle school students. Third, the classification according to the research method showed the highest rate of others, and the analysis according to the data collection method showed the highest rate of literature research. Fourth, the analysis of the games and crimes studied showed the highest percentage of all games and crimes. Finally, as a result of the analysis of online game crime criminality, it was found that studies recognizing criminality report different conclusions depending on the subject. This study attempted to provide data to follow-up researchers studying online game crime, and based on the results of this study, suggestions for follow-up studies were made.

이 연구는 온라인 게임 범죄 관련 연구의 동향을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2002 년 이후 발간된 논문 50편을 연구주제, 연구대상, 연구방법, 게임 유형, 범죄 유형 등에 따라 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 연구주제에 대한 분석은 기타 규제 관련 연구와 범인성 연구가 가장 많았다. 둘째, 연구대상에 따른 분류는 기타가 가장 높게 나타났고 그 뒤를 이어 청소 년, 중학생으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구방법에 따른 분류는 기타가 가장 높은 비율을 보였고, 자료수집방법에 따른 분석은 문헌연구가 가장 높은 비율을 보이고 있었다. 넷째, 연구대상 게임과 범죄에 대한 분석은 모든 게임과 모든 범죄가 가장 높은 비율을 보였다. 마지막으로 온라인 게임 범죄 범인성에 관한 분석결과, 범인성을 인정하고 있는 연구들은 주제에 따라 상이한 결론들을 보고하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 온라인 게임 범죄를 연구하는 후속 연구자들에게 연구 방향을 제시하는 자료를 제공하고자 하였으며, 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 후속연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.
