Recently, along with the rapid change of environment and the development of technology due to the 4th industrial revolution, research was conducted for the growth of start-up companies in the digital age. In the digital era, well-equipped digital competency is presented as a very important competitive edge for start-ups. Therefore, in the digital era with the 4th industrial revolution, by analyzing digital competency, digital communication competency, and perceived start-up performance, we conducted empirical research targeting entrepreneurs to derive implications for securing competitiveness and performance creation of start-ups. carried out. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that digital competency had a significant effect on digital communication competency. In addition, the results of the analysis showed that digital communication competency has a significant effect on perceived entrepreneurial performance. And it was found that digital competency had a significant effect on perceived entrepreneurial performance. It can be seen that the digital competency of entrepreneurs is acting as a very important factor for the survival and growth of start-ups. Therefore, the higher the digital competency and digital communication competency of entrepreneurs, the more tangible and intangible resources that are lacking in start-ups through services in various fields can be provided to improve the performance of start-ups, thereby increasing the survival and success rate of start-ups in the early stages of start-up It is thought that start-up companies will be providedwith various opportunities for growth. Second, it was found that digital communication competency has a mediating effect on the relationship between digital competency and perceived entrepreneurial performance. Being aware of the characteristics and importance of communication in the digital age, and being able to understand the needs and feelings of others through digital media as well as the convenience of digital communication and communication through various digitalmedia It can be seen that it greatly contributes to the growth of start-up companies.
