Smartphones bring convenience and usefulness to our lives, but on the other hand, excessive use leads to addiction, and addiction causes various side effects. In particular, adolescents are more likely to be addicted to smartphones than other age groups, but adolescents more actively accept new media than adults, and have a high tendency to replace existing media. because it is highly likely. Smartphone addiction-related studies show that, among various factors related to smartphone addiction, parental attachment as a family factor is an important factor influencing smartphone addiction. In addition, many studies have cited depression as a factor related to smartphone addiction, which is because social withdrawal, a characteristic of depressed people, decreases the use of smartphones for social purposes and increases the use of non-social uses. On the other hand, parental attachment was found to be related to depression. Adolescents who formed a stable attachment with their parents adapt well to the new environment and experience less depression. Therefore, this study tried to verify that depression would play a mediating role in the process of parental attachment affecting smartphone addiction. As a result, it was found that parental attachment had a significant positive effect on depression, depression had a significant positive effect on smartphone addiction, and parental attachment had a significant positive effect on smartphone addiction. As a result of bootstrapping to verify the mediating effect, it was found that parental attachment affects smartphone addiction through depression. According to these results, it was found that depression has a mediating effect in the process of parental attachment affecting smartphone addiction.

스마트폰은 우리 생활에 편리함과 유용함을 안겨주지만 다른 한편으로는 과도 한 사용으로 인하여 중독으로 이어지기도 하며 중독으로 인하여 여러가지 부작 용을 일으키기도 한다. 특히 청소년의 경우 다른 연령층에 비해 스마트폰에 중독 되기 쉬운데 청소년은 성인보다 새로운 매체를 더 적극적으로 받아들이며, 기존 의 매체를 대체하는 경향성이 높아서 새로운 매체를 접하게 되면 더욱 몰입하여 문제가 있는 사용을 하게 될 가능성이 높기 때문이다 스마트폰 중독 관련 연구들을 보면 스마트폰 중독과 관련 있는 다양한 요인들 중 가정적 요인으로서 특히 부모 애착을 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 들고 있다. 또한 많은 연구에서 스마트폰 중독과 관련있는 요인으로 우 울을 들고 있는데 우울한 사람들의 특징인 사회적 철회로 인해 사회적인 용도의 스마트폰 사용은 감소하고, 비사회적 용도의 사용이 증가하기 때문이라고 하였다. 한편 부모애착은 우울과 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났는데 부모와 안정적인 애착을 형성한 청소년은 새로운 환경에 잘 적응하며 우울을 덜 경험하게 된다는 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부모애착이 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 우 울이 매개역할을 할 것이라고 보고 이에 대해 검증하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 부모 애착은 우울에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 우울은 스마트폰 중독에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 부모애착은 스마트폰 중독에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과의 검증을 위하 여 붓스트래핑을 실시한 결과에서도 부모애착이 우울을 매개로 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과에 따라 부모애착이 스마트폰 중 독에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 우울이 매개효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
