The purpose of this study is to study Rev. Kyungjik Han's prayer historically. Specifically, his prayer is analyzed around three themes. The first is the formation of prayer habits. In Kyungjik Han's journey of Protestant faith, this study examines what events and figures affected the formation of his prayer habits, and also check what his habitual prayers are. The second is the experienced prayer. He didn't pray just ritually and customarily. His prayers were accompanied by many experiences to be sure of the existence of a living God. The third is the threefold prayer. The direction of his prayers was towards me, church and world. The methodology of this study is a literature study. It will portray the prayer of Rev. Han Kyung-jik, focusing on his sermons and archives, as well as various Protestant newspapers and daily newspapers. Also, the writings of believers who lived in the same era as Han Gyeong-jik will be used as a good source of his prayer.

본 연구의 목적은 한경직 목사의 기도를 역사적으로 연구하는 것이다. 특별히 그의 기도를 세 가지 주제를 중심으로 분석한다. 첫 번째는 기도 습 관의 형성이다. 한경직의 개신교 신앙의 여정 속에서 어떤 사건과 인물이 그의 기도의 습관 형성에 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보고, 그의 습관적 기도가 무엇인지도 확인한다. 두 번째는 체험적 기도이다. 그는 단순히 의식적이 고 관례적인 기도를 했던 것이 아니다. 그의 기도 속에서는 살아계신 하나 님의 존재를 확신할 수 있는 여러 체험이 동반되었다. 세 번째는 삼중적 기 도이다. 그의 기도의 방향은 크게 나, 교회, 세상을 향하였다. 본 연구의 방법론은 문헌연구이다. 한경직 목사의 설교집과 자료집, 그리고 각종 개신교 신문과 일간신문을 중심으로 한경직의 기도의 모습을 그려나갈 것이다. 또한 한경직과 동시대를 살았던 신앙인의 글도 한경직의 기도의 모습을 추정하는 좋은 자료로 활용될 것이다.
