Recently, as the number of closed schools increases, interest in the use of space using them is also increasing. The purpose of this study is to determine the zoning arrangement for music and art appropriate to the characteristics of the art school and to lay the foundation for detailed design guidelines for major spaces. The subject of this study was a remodeling project for the closed Y Elementary School, focusing on basic research to create a space for practical arts education for high school students. As for the research method, the current state of the existing building was identified and drawn up, and points to be improved and important points to be improved were analyzed based on the user's requirements and prior cases through site visits and interviews. Guidelines for each space were presented by analyzing the use of public music rooms, art rooms, and related practice spaces. As a result of the study, in determining the space arrangement for music and art with a clear purpose, for the convenience of usability, the division between static space and dynamic space and general classroom should be considered. For efficient space utilization, unnecessary movement lines are minimized to save time and reduce fatigue, and the space for music practice should be properly sound-absorbing and resonant at the same time, and excessive sound-absorbing materials should be used to prevent deterioration of clarity. In particular, the lighting installed in the art practice room is installed with the color temperature and illuminance to accurately recognize the original light of the color. It is expected that the research results can be used as basic data for guidelines for detailed design of major spaces that match the characteristics of an art school.

최근 폐교가 증가하면서 이를 활용한 공간의 활용 에 대한 관심도 커지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 예술 학교 설립 시 특성에 부합한 음악과 미술을 위한 조 닝배치 결정 및 주요 공간에 대한 세부적인 디자인 설계 지침의 기초를 마련하는 것이다. 연구대상은 폐 교된 Y초등학교를 대상으로 한 리모델링 프로젝트로 서 고등학생을 위한 실용예술 교육 공간을 조성하기 위한 기초연구에 중점을 두었다. 연구방법은 기존 건 물의 현황을 파악하여 도면화하고, 현장 방문과 인터 뷰를 통하여 사용자의 요구내용 및 선행사례를 토대 로 개선해야 할 점과 유의사항들을 분석하였다. 음악 실과 미술실 및 관련 실습공간의 활용 방안을 분석하 여 공간별 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 연구결과, 음악 과 미술을 위한 목적이 분명한 공간배치의 결정은 사 용성의 편리를 우선적으로 고려하며 정적인 공간과 동적인 공간, 일반교실과의 구분배치가 되어야 한다. 효율적인 공간활용을 위해 불필요한 동선을 최소화하 여 시간을 절약하고 피로도를 줄이도록 하며, 음악 연습을 위한 공간은 적절한 흡음과 공명이 동시에 이 루어져야 하고, 지나친 흡음재 적용으로 명료도가 저 하되는 것을 방지한다. 특히 미술실기실에 설치하는 조명은 컬러가 가지고 있는 본래의 빛을 정확하게 인 지할 수 있도록 색온도와 조도를 맞게 설치한다. 연 구결과는, 예술학교 설립 시 특성에 부합하는 주요 공간에 대한 세부적인 디자인 설계를 위한 지침의 기 초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
