The relationship between the concepts of metaphor and metonymy with the perception of the body and the play was examined, and cases where this relationship was applied in an educational and theatrical method were examined. A metaphor is a conceptual definition in two dimensions. One is the decorativeness of the word and the other is the conceptualization of the object. Decorativeness enriches the use of language, and diversity of expression is sought in this process. Conceptualization of an object is related to human thinking, and it means the uniqueness of the way of recognizing and explaining an object. The metonymy is defined in the coherent relationship between the decorativeness of meaning and the composition of sentences. It is a metaphor that occurs based on the proximity of two objects. Adjacency means that the predicates connected with words are in harmony with each other. It is metonymy to determine whether a single word has a corresponding relationship with the following predicate. The concept of the body is linked to the concepts of metaphor and metonymy, and the realm of metaphor and metonymy is expanding. Since metaphor and metonymy, play, and literature have similar properties, they can be connected to each other and used in education.

은유와 환유의 개념이 몸의 지각, 그리고 연극과 어떤 연관을 맺는지를 고찰하고 이 관련성이 교육연극 적 방법으로 응용되는 사례에 대해 살펴보았다. 은유는 크게 두 가지 차원에서 개념 규정이 된다. 하나는 단어의 장식성이고 다른 하나는 대상의 개념화 이다. 장식성은 언어의 쓰임을 풍부하게 하는 것으로 이 과정에 표현의 다양함이 추구된다. 대상에 대한 개념화는 인간의 사고 작용과 관련되는데 대상을 인식하고 설명하는 방식의 독특함을 의미한다. 환유는 의미의 장식성과 문장성분의 정합적 관계에서 규정된다. 두 대상의 인접성을 바탕으로 발생하는 비유이다. 인접성이라는 것은 단어와 연결되는 서술어가 서로 조화되는가라는 의미다. 하나의 단어가 이어지는 서술어와 서로 호응하는 관계인지를 따지는 것이 환유이다. 은유와 환유의 개념에 몸의 개념이 연계되며 은유와 환유의 영역이 확장되고 있다. 은유·환유와 연극, 문학이 서로 유사한 속성을 지녔기에 이를 서로 연결하여 교육에 활용할 수 있다. ｢효자의 도움｣이라는 동화를 은유·환유의 성격과 이 성격과 닮은 연극의 속성을 활용하여 교육하는 방법에 대해 알아보았다.
