This study aims to develop and apply an online TIE(Theatre in Education) program in a remote learning environment due to COVID-19 and discover its construction, utilization possibilities, and implications. To this end, an in-school drama education teachers’ research group was organized to study the developing process of an appropriate TIE program to be implemented online. It was targeted at one class in the sixth grade, and the TIE program based on the school zone and the Min-sik law was completed, and three scenes of the play were filmed in advance to watch the play through video. For active participation and communication, the activities for each scene were conducted in the form of online classes using the function of real-time video conference program Zoom and other additional programs. As a result, it was confirmed that the purpose of the existing TIE can be realized online and has theatrical and educational effects such as immersion and participation, critical visual development and awareness improvement. This demonstrates the potential for development and utilization of TIE programs in a remote learning environment. This study is also significant in that it studied the development process of 'TIE programmes for online application', which were not found in previous studies, and suggested the direction of follow-up research on online TIE through student and teacher responses to online TIE. It is hoped that this study will serve as a solution to the drama education facing the problem of school field application in a remote learning environment and contribute to various studies of online drama education and TIE.

본 연구는 COVID-19로 인한 비대면 교육환경에서 온라인 TIE(Theatre in Education) 프로그램을 개발, 적용하여 그 구성과 활용 가능성 및 시사점을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 교내 교육연극 교사 연 구회를 조직하여 온라인으로 적용하기에 적합한 TIE 프로그램을 고안하였다. 6학년 한 학급을 대상으로 하였으며 스쿨존과 민식이법을 소재로 한 TIE 극을 완성하고, 극의 세 장면을 사전에 촬영하여 영상으로 극을 관람하도록 하였다. 적극적인 참여와 소통을 위해 장면마다 진행하는 활동은 실시간 화상회의 프 로그램 줌(Zoom)의 기능과 그 외 추가적인 프로그램을 활용해 온라인 수업의 형태로 진행하였다. 그 결 과 기존 TIE의 목적이 온라인상에서도 실현 가능하며 몰입과 참여, 비판적 시각 함양과 인식 개선 등의 연극적, 교육적 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 비대면 교육환경에서의 TIE 프로그램에 대한 개발과 활 용의 가능성을 보여준다. 또한 기존 연구에서 찾아볼 수 없었던 ‘온라인 적용을 목적으로 한 TIE 프로그 램’의 개발 과정을 연구했다는 점에 의의가 있으며 온라인으로 진행하는 TIE에 대한 학생과 교사의 반응 을 통해 온라인 TIE에 대한 후속 연구의 방향성을 제시하였다. 본 연구가 비대면 교육환경에서 학교 현장 적용 문제를 마주한 교육연극의 한 가지 해결방안이 되어 온라인 교육연극과 TIE의 다양한 연구에 기여 하기를 바라는 바이다.
