This study aimed to construct the teaching and learning contents for music appreciation to educationally use Suryongeum, the accompaniment music of gagok. Related contents in the music curriculum was first reviewed. Based on this, the teaching and learning contents for each school level were systematized. In addition, the music textbooks were reviewed. Among the elementary, middle, and high school music textbooks, Suryongeum was included in a total of 13 types. The result of the analysis indicated that a need to be supplemented was found in the contents of the information of musical pieces, music scores, learning activities, and photos and pictures. Lastly, the systematized contents for each school level were organized in detail. The information of musical pieces and learning activities were presented by distinguishing common and differentiated areas for each school level. Garakseonbo(a melodic contour notation) was arranged for elementary schools and middle & high schools respectively, and photos and pictures were arranged to fit learning activities and usages. Using the high school as an example, such contents were organized into the teaching and learning contents that could be applied to actual classes. Suryongeum is a piece of music with many teaching and learning elements by itself. When teaching Suryongeum in the future, it is necessary to present not only saeng-so byeongju(a duet of saenghwang and danso) but also the characteristics of the music such as its origin, types, and various performing forms.

본 연구는 가곡의 반주 음악인 수룡음을 교육적으로 활용하기 위한 감상 교수ㆍ학습 내용 을 구성하는 데 목적을 두었다. 먼저 음악과 교육과정을 검토하고 이를 근거로 학교 급별 교수ㆍ학습 내용을 계열화하였다. 악곡 정보, 악보, 학습활동, 사진 및 그림 자료 등을 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교의 수준에 맞게 내용을 조직하였다. 그리고 음악 교과서에 관련 내용을 검토하였는데 수룡음은 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교 음악 교과서 중 총 13종에 수록되어 있었다. 분석 결과, 악곡 정보, 악보, 학습활동, 사진 및 그림 자료 등에서 보완해야 할 내용을 찾을 수 있었다. 마지막으로 학교 급별로 조직 한 내용을 구체적으로 구성하였는데 악곡 정보, 학습활동 등은 학교 급별로 공통적인 부분과 차별되는 부분을 구별하여 제시하였다. 가락선 악보를 초등학교와 중․고등학교로 구분하였 고 사진 및 그림 자료도 학습활동과 쓰임에 맞도록 구안하였다. 이와 같이 구성한 내용을 고등학교를 예시로 하여 실제 수업에 적용할 수 있는 교수ㆍ학습 내용으로 정리하였다. 수룡음은 그 자체만으로도 교수ㆍ학습 요소가 많은 악곡이다. 앞으로 수룡음을 지도할 때 에는 생소병주 뿐 아니라 이 음악의 유래, 종류, 다양한 연주 형태 등 악곡의 특징을 제시해 야 할 필요가 있다.
