The purpose of this study is to examine the current state of the operation of Korean music education within the musical instrument education support project through the performance analysis of the project formed in 2019 and to explore ways to support Korean music education. For this purpose, I conducted a survey and interview on teachers, students, and parents who participated in the project. The results of the study are as follow: First, school principal training is needed to enhance their understanding of Korean music education. Second, various Korean musical instruments should be provided to popularize and distribute Korean instruments. Third, differentiated training according to teachers’ competency is needed to enhance the professionalism of Korean music education of teachers in charge of the project. Fourth, a pool of Korean music lecturers should be established for various Korean musical instruments education. Fifth, for the continuity of Korean music education, the musical instrument education support project should be linked with the curriculum.

이 논문의 목적은 2019년에 이루어진 악기교육지원사업의 성과 분석 결과에 기초하여 악 기교육지원사업 내에서의 국악교육 운영 현황을 점검하고, 국악교육을 지원할 수 있는 방안 을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 사업 운영 학교의 교사, 학생, 학부모를 대 상으로 설문 조사와 면담 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 다음과 같은 지원 과제를 제시하였 다. 첫째, 학교장의 국악교육에 대한 이해를 제고하기 위한 연수가 필요하다. 둘째, 국악기 보급을 위해 악기 제공 종류를 다양화해야 한다. 셋째, 사업 담당 교사의 국악교육 전문성을 제고하기 위해 교사 역량에 따른 차별화된 연수가 필요하다. 넷째, 다양한 국악기 교육을 위 해 국악 강사 인력풀이 구축되어야 한다. 다섯째, 국악교육의 지속성을 위해 교육과정과 연 계되어야 한다.
