Jinju Samcheonpo Nongak, a representative Yeongnam Nongak that has been transferred to the center of western South Gyeongsang Province, was designated as National Intangible Cultural Property No. 11 in June 1966, in recognition of its artistry and value. This study is to study and analyze the theoretical background of Jinju Samcheonpo Nongak and the dance moves of the drum dance. Jinju Samcheonpo Nongak is much lacking in research data compared to other agricultural instruments tied under National Intangible Cultural Property No. 11. So, we will examine the literature, the book and related papers and organize the theoretical background. And we will analyze the order of drum dance and dance moves by referring to the video data. The drum dance, which is one of the 10th video individual performances of Jinju Samcheonpo Nongak, consists of four total scenes. Starting with Dardragi, the first chapter will move to the center of the concert hall, playing a lantern dance rhythm. The second chapter will play the rhythm and perform the dance moves in accordance with the Good Street music. It consists of 25 chapters in total The third chapter will play the rhythm and perform the dance moves in time It consists of 41 chapters. The last four chapters will play a darraggy band and wrap it up around the lotus platform. During the 10th video individual performance of Jinju Samcheonpo Nongak, the drum dance consists of an epic structure that not only utilizes the musical instrument as it is, but gradually changes from slow to fast music, which can bring excitement to the audience. And it is composed to show off Yeon-hee's personal skills, with only the number of rhythm and not the set dance. Among the intangible cultural assets that were gradually becoming stereotyped, Jinju Samcheonpo Nongak was able to organize and preserve what was stereotyped and leave the unformatted part to the performers to maximize their individual artistic ability and expressive power. And it is leading the public's attention and further promoting the development of intangible cultural assets by presenting various attractions and artistic skills to the audience.

서부 경남을 중심으로 전승되어 온 대표적 영남농악인 진주삼천포농악은 그 예술성과 가치를 인정받아 1966년 6월 국가무형문화재 제11호로 지정되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 진주삼천포농악 의 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 북춤의 춤사위를 분석하는 것이다. 국가무형문화재 제11호로 묶여 있는 다른 농악들에 비해 진주삼천포농악의 연구자료는 여전히 많이 부족하며 그 이론적 배경 역시 명확히 정립되지 못했다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 문헌자료와 단행본, 연구논문을 분석하여 이론적 배경을 정립하고, 관련 영상자료를 참고하여 북춤 장단 순서와 춤사위를 정리하였다. 연 구결과, 진주삼천포농악의 10차 영상개인놀이 중 하나인 북춤은 전체 4장으로 구성되어 있었다. 1장은 다드래기를 시작으로 등맞이굿 장단을 연주하며 공연장 중앙으로 이동하는 모양새이다. 2장은 굿거리장단에 맞춰 장단을 연주하고 춤사위를 진행하며, 총 25장단으로 구성되어 있다. 3장은 덧뵈기장단에 맞춰 장단을 연주하고 춤사위를 진행하며 총 41장단으로 구성되어 있다. 마지막 4장은 다드래기장단을 연주하며 연풍대를 도는 것으로 마무리를 장식한다. 진주삼천포 농악의 10차 영상개인놀이 중 북춤은 농악의 장단을 그대로 활용할 뿐만 아니라 느린 장단을 시작으로 점차 빠른 장단으로 변화되는 서사적인 구조를 갖추고 있어 관객의 흥을 이끌어낼 수 있는 구성이 돋보였다. 그리고 정해진 춤이 아닌 장단의 개수만 정해놓고 연희자의 개인적 기량 을 뽐낼 수 있게 구성된 점이 특징이라 할 수 있다. 최근 지나치게 정형화되어가고 있는 무형문 화재들의 모습을 반면교사삼아 진주삼천포농악은 정형화시킬 것은 정리하여 보존하고, 정형화 되지 않은 부분은 연희자들의 몫으로 남김으로써 개인의 예술성과 표현력을 극대화하였다. 그 리고 관객들에게 다양한 볼거리와 예술적 기량을 선보임으로써 대중들의 관심을 선도하고 더 나아가 무형문화재의 발전을 도모하고 있다.
