Unification is a process of meeting, new relationships, and new life between unfamiliar people who have developed different lifestyles since the division of Korea. However, despite the fact that peace and reunification cannot be separated from human problems and life, and relationships, in other words, life stories in everyday life, these things are perceived as 'others' stories that have nothing to do with them by the growing generation. As an attempt to overcome this perception, this paper aims to explore the possibility of restorative life education for the realization of peace and unification education that can be naturally achieved in the daily life of learners. To this end, this paper examines the theoretical background and practical programs of restorative life education. Second, I looked at the oriented values, goals, contents, and method characteristics of restorative life education, which can be called the implementation of restorative justice in the context of school life guidance. Third, the possibility and implications of education for peace and unification using restorative life education focused on a value theory and method as a method. This study presents possibilities and implications; ① the orientation value of daily peaceful unification education as a harmony of justice and consideration, ② unification as daily relationship formation, ③ student-led establishment of a peace culture in life-world, ④ the expansion of educational denotation, including reconciliation, forgiveness, and healing in peaceful unification education.

통일은 분단 이후 상이한 삶의 양식을 일구어온 낯설은 사람들간의 만남과 새로운 관계맺음, 새로운 삶의 과정이다. 그러나 인간의 문제와 삶, 그리고 관계맺음, 바꾸어 말하면 일상에서의 삶의 이야기와 괴리될 수 없는 것이 평화와 통일임에도 불구하고, 오늘날 자라나는 세대들에게 이러한 것들은 자신과 상관없는 ‘남’의 이야기로 인식되고 있다. 이 글은 이러한 인식을 극복하기 위한 하나의 시도로서 학습자들의 일상 생활 속에 서 자연스럽게 이루어질 수 있는 평화· 통일교육의 내실화를 위해 회복적 생활교육에서 그 가능성을 탐색하 는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 이 글은 첫째, 회복적 생활교육의 이론적 배경과 실천 프로그램을 살펴보고, 둘 째, 학교 생활지도의 맥락에서 회복적 정의 구현이라 할 수 있는 회복적 생활교육의 지향가치와 목표, 내용, 방법적 특성을 살펴보며, 셋째, 회복적 생활교육을 활용한 평화·통일교육을 가치론, 방법으로서 서클에 중 점을 두어 그 가능성과 함의를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 그 가능성 및 함의는 일상 속 평화·통일교육의 지향가 치: 정의와 배려의 조화, 일상 속 관계맺음으로서 통일, 학생주도의 일상의 평화문화 구축, 화해와 용서, 치유 로서 평화와 통일 등의 평화·통일교육에서 외연의 확대로 제시하였다.
