This study began to gain implications of hands-on liberal arts education by analyzing case of the linkage between liberal arts and extracurricular courses in work-oriented and ecological education. J University developed ‘Growth and Sharing’ to enhance students' personality personality with competencies. It has been linked to extracurricular program for voluntary participation outside regular classes by students. The liberal arts aims to realize the meaning of respect for life through the cultivation of gardens and foster a spirit of communication, cooperation and responsibility. All classes combined labor theory with practice. The learning performance was evaluated as a practice journal. Students invited classmates with harvested crops and donated to the community in the extracurricular program. Reflective expressions such as confidence, coordination, understanding, cooperation, and audit were prominent. Moreover, satisfaction evaluations contributed to improving communication and personality. This showed that labor and ecological education is an hands-on cultural education that has sufficient meaning and value. The implementation of the extracurricular textual linkage creates synergy in expanding learners' experience.

본 연구는 노작·생태교육의 틀 안에서 교양교과와 비교과 프로그램 간 연계·운영 사례를 분석함으로써 체험형 교양교육의 발전적 시사점을 얻고자 시작하였다. J대학은 인성과 역량을 함께 추구하고자 특화 교양교과목 <키움과 나눔>을 개발하고, 정규 수업시간 외 학생의 자발적 참여를 바탕으로 신체적, 정서적, 사회적 경험을 확장하고자 비교과 프로그램과 연계하였다. 교양교과는 텃밭 경작을 통해 생명존중의 의미를 깨닫고 소통, 협력, 책임의 정신을 함양하는 데 목표를 두었 다. 수업은 노작이론과 실습을 병행했으며, 학습성과는 작성한 실습일지로 평가하였다. 비교과 프 로그램에서는 수확한 농작물을 가지고 학우를 초대한 팜 파티, 지역사회 기부활동이 이루어졌다. 그들이 작성한 체험성장에세이에는 자신감, 조정, 이해, 협력, 감사 등의 성찰적 표현이 두드러졌 으며, 만족도 평가에서는 의사소통과 인성 역량 향상에 기여했다고 응답했다. 이는 노작·생태교 육이 체험형 교양교육으로 그 의의와 가치가 충분함을 보여준 것이며, 특히 교과-비교과 연계 시 행이 학습자의 경험 확장에 있어서 시너지를 창출함을 확인해 주었다.
