This study is a case study that designed and applied a drama therapy program centering on the self-efficacy of single mothers in a facility and analyzed the results qualitatively. The subjects of this study were 5 single mothers living in single mother and child welfare facilities. The drama therapy program was designed based on the role theory of Robert Randy (R.), and symptom improvement goals were set through prior research for step-by-step goals for self-efficacy. The program was applied twice a week, 90 minutes per session, over a total of 12 sessions. Report cards, photos of activity, creative photos, and observation logs were collected to help analyze the findings of the study. The summary of the results of this study is as follows. First, it was confirmed that the theater therapy program had a positive effect on the self-efficacy of single mothers in the facility. The subjects of this study improved their spontaneity through the program, increased positive language expression, recognized their own situation, and were able to design a positive future. Second, it was possible to confirm the appropriate theatrical therapy technique for the study subject through the analysis of the response by session. The subjects of this study were able to improve their spontaneity through the effectiveness of distance control by exploring their emotions and desires through the projection technique. In the psychodramatic technique, in the process of expressing psychological and emotional problems by dramatizing and finding solutions to problems by themselves, the role repertoire was expanded so that they could see their problems from various perspectives. Consequently, this research proves that the drama therapy has high potential of improving self efficacy of single mothers at facilities. The researchers also put value on presenting clinical data for further studies on the positive outcome of drama therapy, apart from well known art therapy.

이 연구는 시설 미혼모의 자기효능감을 중심으로 연극치료 프로그램을 설계 및 적용하고 결과를 질적 분석한 사례연구이다. 연구대상은 미혼모자복지시설에 거주하는 미혼모 5명이다. 연극치료 프로그램은 로버트 랜디(Landy, R.)의 역할 이론을 토대로 설계하였으며 자기효능감을 위한 단계별 목표를 위해 선행연구를 통해 증상개선 목표를 설정하였다. 프로그램은 주2회, 회기별 90분씩 총 12회기에 걸쳐 적용하였다. 연구결과 도출을 위해 녹취록, 활동사진, 창작물사진, 관찰일지를 수집하였다. 이를 통한 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연극치료 프로그램은 시설 미혼모의 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 연구대상별 반응을 언어적, 정서적, 행동적으로 분석한 결과 전반적으로 자발성이 향상되었으며 긍정적인 언어표현이 증가하여 자신의 상황에 대해 인정하고 긍정적인 미래를 설계할 수 있었다. 둘째, 회기별 반응 분석을 통해 연구 대상에게 적합한 연극치료 기법을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구대상은 투사적 기법을 통해 자신의 감정과 욕구를 탐색할 수 있었으며 소극적인 연구대상의 경우 거리조절의 효과성으로 자발성을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 심리극적 기법은 연구대상의 심리, 정서적 문제를 극화하여 표현하고 스스로 문제의 해결방안을 찾도록 하는 과정에서 역할 레퍼토리를 확장하여 자신의 문제를 다양한 시각에서 바라 볼 수 있는 기회를 마련하였다. 따라서 이 연구의 의의는 연극치료 프로그램이 시설 미혼모의 자기효능감에 대한 적용 가능성에 있으며, 미술치료 위주의 기존 연구에서 벗어나 시설 미혼모의 자기효능감에 대한 연극치료 프로그램의 후속 연구를 위한 임상자료 제시하였다는 점에 가치를 둔다.
