God has called preachers to deliver the heart and plan of God for His people, which is written in the Bible. Thus, the preachers who believe Scripture as God-inspired and inerrant, should prepare and deliver their sermon as the Bible teaches, not his thoughts, beliefs, nor values. The sermon prepared through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, faithful exegesis, and application helps Christians stand firm on the truth of the Bible and protects the church from the false gospel of heresy. A text-driven sermon includes Christian doctrine. As an attempt to demonstrate the practical application of narrative doctrinal sermon, this paper will explore how Old Testament narrative teaches about Christian doctrine. For this, the paper will demonstrate how the Ten plagues and Passover narrative teaches God’s atonement. The Ten plagues and Passover narrative presents God’s love for His people from the land of bondage. With the investigation of the Hebrew word yada and sign, the paper will argue that God’s saving grace extends not only to the Israelites but also to those who believe and obey God. Through this, we will know that the purpose of the narrative is to reveal and teach that God is the only One to be worshipped.

설교자는 성경에 나타난 하나님의 마음과 뜻을 청중에게 전달하는 메신저로 부름받은 사람이다. 따라서 성경이 하나님의 영감으로 기록된 거룩한 말씀이며 그 무오성을 믿는 설교자는 자신의 생각이나 신념, 가치관이 아닌 성경 본문이 가르치고 이끄는 설교를 전해야 한다. 본문에 충실한 설교는 성경이 가르치는 기독교 교리를 담고 있다. 교리는 성도의 신앙이 성경의 진리 위에 견고히 세워지고 교회가 이단의 거짓 복음에 흔들리지 않도록 돕는 역할을 한다. 따라서 한국 교회 강단에서 설교자를 통해 성경이 가르치는 기독교 교리가 선포되어야 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 내러티브 교리 설교 적용의 한 부분으로, 출애굽기에 나타난 열 재앙과 유월절 내러티브가 가르치는 하나님의 구원(속죄)를 살펴보려한다. 열 재앙과 유월절 내러티브는 애굽에서 속박 중에 있던 이스라엘 백성들을 구원하는 하나님의 사랑 이야기이다. 본 논문은 열 재앙과 유월절 내러티브 안에서 반복하여 사용되는 히브리어 동사 yada “알다”와 재앙의 연구를 통해 하나님의 속죄의 은혜가 이스라엘 뿐 아니라 하나님의 경고를 듣고 순종하는 사람들 (애굽인과 이방인)에게까지 주어졌다는 사실을 증명하고자 한다. 또한 내러티브 안에서 발견 되는 문학적 기교는 재앙과 유월절 어린 양 사건의 목적이 이스라엘 백성들을 구원함과 동시에 세상이 하나님께서 온 세상의 유일한 신이심을 알고 믿고 예배하게 하기 위함에 있다는 것을 보여준다.
