This research was conducted to investigate the relationship between the PAT (Parenting Attitude Test) sub-categories check by their children and the children's house drawing characteristics. Subjects were 102 children, enrolled in the A city elementary school as grade 5∼6. The score of PAT categories and house drawing was analyzed by using Pearson correlation, and ANOVA test. Results were followings; First, It was found the significant correlations between essential and additional compositions of the house and the sub-categories of PAT when drawing a house. Essential compositions of the house drawing are negatively correlated with the score of achievement press and high expectation. However, additional compositions of the house drawing are positively correlated with the score of supportive expression and rational explanation. Second, the house drawing characteristics were significantly differentiated by the scores of the PAT sub-categories. Especially, there are much differences in the line thickness of house, the connecting line of roof, the lean of a wall, the number of windows, the scrutinized house drawing and distortion, and the using space of paper. Even this research found some relationships between the PAT subdivisions and evaluation scales of a house drawing, it also needs to be rechecked by follow-up studies. This study was contributed for proofing the usefulness of the house drawing in predicting the children's feeling to their parenting attitude.

본 연구는 초등학교 고학년이 지각한 부모양육태도의 하위영역에 따른 집 그림 반응 특성에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 A시 B초등학교에 재학 중인 5∼6학년 학 생 102명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구도구는 아동이 지각한 부모양육태도 검사와 집-나무- 사람(HTP)그림검사 중 집 그림이다. 집 그림의 반응특성에 따른 부모양육태도의 하위 영역 점수와 상관관계, 그림특성에 따른 집단 간 양육태도 영역의 차이를 ANOVA 방법 으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집 그림의 반응특성에서 필수구성과 추가구성의 평가점수와 아동이 지각한 부모의 양육태도 하위영역 간에 유의미한 상관을 얻었다. 성취압력 및 과잉기대 점수가 높을수록 필수구성의 수가 적어지는 부적상관관 계와 지지표현과 합리적설명이 높을수록 추가구성의 수가 많아지는 정적상관관계를 보 였다. 둘째, 양육태도의 하위영역과 집의 반응특성에서는 지붕의 선의 굵기, 지붕의 이 어진 선, 벽의 기울기, 창문의 수, 창문 선, 집의 세부묘사와 왜곡, 용지면적에서 유의미 한 결과가 있었다. 본 연구는 아동이 지각한 부모양육태도의 8개의 하위영역의 점수와 집 그림에 대한 평가지표 간에 연관성을 어느 정도 규명하였지만, 추후 연구를 통해서 반복 입증될 필요성도 대두되었다. 향후 집 그림을 통해서 학생 내면의 심리적 상태를 좀 더 정밀하게 파악하는 보조 검사로 활용될 수 있는 가능성도 높였다.
