For manufacturing corporations to secure competitiveness in the age of limitless competition, establishment of well-timed corporate strategies and measures are important. Based on this perspective, when examining the forms of growth in the manufacturing corporations, the corporate growth considering only the external market environment can be found. Therefore, although it is necessary to build a manufacturing environment where securing dynamic capabilities of the corporation is important for manufacturing corporations to secure competitiveness, there have been many cases where inferiority was displayed. In particular, there have been frequent limitations when corporations attempted to secure competitiveness with product life cycle. Therefore, the manufacturing corporations have been in pursuit of process innovations to strengthen the internal capabilities of corporations in the recent times, however, this also has shown limitations in innovation. Hence, the purpose of the present study is to examine the current conditions of process innovation in the manufacturing corporations as well as present the limitations in the vitalization of process innovations and directions for development. To conduct this study, the PEST analysis model and ERRC tool were utilized for cause analysis and to derive direction of development.

무한 경쟁 시대에 제조 기업이 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 시기적절한 기업 전략수립과 대응방법이 중요하다. 이러한 관점에 기초하여 그간 제조 기업에 제조 성장 형태를 살펴보 면 외부시장 환경만을 고려한 기업성장을 이어 왔다. 따라서 제조 기업이 경쟁력을 확보해 나가기 위해서는 무엇보다 기업이 보유한 동태적 역량 확보가 중요할 수밖에 없는 제조 환경을 조성해야 한다. 반면, 열위를 보여 왔던 경우가 많았다. 특히 제품 수명주기를 고려한 경쟁력 확보에 한계를 빈번히 보여 왔다. 그러함에 최근 제조 기업들은 기업 내부 역량을 강화시키고자 공정혁신을 추구해오고 있지만 실상 이 또한 혁신의 한계성을 나타 내고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 제조기업의 공정혁신 현황을 살펴보고 공정혁신이 활성화 되지 못하는 한계와 발전방향을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구를 수행하고자 PEST 분석모델 과 ERRC 전략제시 도구를 활용하여 원인분석과 발전방향을 도출하고자 하였다.
