The Sangsa snake is basically a narrative that reveals the severance of emotions, the denial of one who feels emotions, and the perception gap due to gender, but it is also a political narrative that contains the political topography and historical evaluation of the times surrounding a character. Cho Mok and Cho Sik, the protagonists of those ‘catastrophic’ Sangsa-snake tales, recognize women as those who should not have sexual desires, and regard them as objects to be watched, ruled, disciplined and edified. On the other hand, the women who become a Sangsa-snake show an active aspect of revealing and expressing their desires and behaving accordingly. This study analyzes the influential relationship by looking at the network between characters in order to understand the catastrophic Sangsa-snake. The catastrophic Sangsa-snake tale can be divided into three types according to the connection method and influence of the person. Wolcheon type, which tells about the conditions in which the Sangsa-snake cannot connect with the object, Nammyung type, which tries to solve problems caused by the relationship with the Sangsa-snake but fails, and Scholar․Schoolchild type, which shows the possibility of reorganizing the existing world as the power of the Sangsa-snake is fully revealed. The catastrophic Sangsa-snake tales made this narrative in form full of unique networks, showing the perception of the enjoyment of historical figures and the patterns and methods of acting by beings excluded and separated from the existing order. Reading the catastrophic sergeant-snake tales centered on the actions of non-human actors and identifying the network helps to reveal the irrational and unstable network hidden by the existing governance system, which seems to be firmly ordered.

상사뱀 서사는 기본적으로 감정의 단절, 감정적 주체의 부정, 성별에따른 인식 차이뿐 아니라 인물을 둘러싼 당대의 정치적 지형, 역사적 평가 등이 개재되어 있는 정치적 서사이기도 하다. ‘파국형 상사뱀 설화’의주인공으로 등장하는 월천 조목과 남명 조식은 여성이 성적 욕망을 지녀서는 안 되는 것으로 인식하며, 여성을 경계와 지배, 훈육과 교화의 대상으로 여긴다. 반면, 상사뱀이 되는 여성은 자신의 욕구를 드러내 표현하며행동하는 적극적인 면모를 보여준다. 파국형 상사뱀 설화를 이해하기 위해서 본고는 구연자와 그들의 근거지역(세계)과 이야기의 연결망, 대상 인물에 관한 인식과 작품 내부의 행위자 간 연결망 등을 파악하고자 했다. 본고는 파국형 상사뱀을 이해하기위해서 인물 간 연결망을 살펴 그 영향관계를 분석하고자 했다. 파국형상사뱀 설화는 인물의 연결방식과 영향력에 따라 세 유형으로 나누어 볼수 있다. 상사뱀이 대상과 연결할 수 없는 조건에 대해 이야기하는 월천조목 유형, 상사뱀과의 관계에서 생긴 문제를 해결하고자 하지만 실패하는 두 번째 조식 유형, 상사뱀의 위력이 전면적으로 드러나면서 기존의세계에 대한 재편 가능성이 엿보이는 세 번째 유형이 그것이다. 파국형 상사뱀 설화는 역사적 인물에 대한 향유층의 인식과 지배 질서에서 배제되는 존재(비인간 행위자)가 행위하는 양상과 방식을 보여주는, 독특한 연결망으로 가득한 서사다. 파국형 상사뱀 설화를 비인간 행위자의 행위를 중심으로 읽어내며 그 연결망을 파악해내는 일은, 확고하게 질서가 잡혀 있는 것처럼 보이는 기존의 지배체제가 감추고 있는 불합리하고 불안정한 네트워크를 드러내어 새로운 관계 형성을 모색하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다.
