The 'Ouraimono' was commonly called with the teaching materials used in ‘Tenarai-jouku’ of the Edo period established in each place of the pre-modern of Japan. A society-related Ouramono is a thing for the acquisition of various knowledge that are necessary for the life. such as Senjimon, the recognition of the social custom, annual function, hobby and entertainment, common sense, discipline, nation and society community, payment, the laws and ordinances of the tax. The 'Senjimon-ouraimono' and 'name-related Ooujiramono' consisted of descriptions, history books, and myths related to Japanese history, which strengthened the national consciousness of 'Japan'. The "sinsen dedai ourai" explains the morality of ethics that must be kept in life. Syumon ourai banned Christianity, which was actively proselytizing at the time, and encouraged Japanese Buddhism. Nihon sinkoku ourai, Japan imprinted the image of the Shrine. goseihaku sikimoku and bukesou hatto, gininkumityou maegaki strengthened the image of "public human" from a communal perspective. In ‘Social-related Ouraimono’, when viewing aspects such as the production and distribution of knowledge, the internalization of knowledge, and the formation of a common knowledge, the term ‘Social-related Ouraimono’ is given We can understand the meaning of ouraimono. It would be clearer what knowledge was circulated and learned in premodern Japan and formed a culture that was all socially and culturally common.

오라이모노(往來物)는 전근대 일본의 각지에서 성립된 데나라이주쿠(手習 塾)에서 사용된 교재를 통칭한 것이다. 이중에서 사회 관련 오라이모노는 천자 문, 사물의 명수(名數), 사회의 풍습, 연중행사, 취미와 오락, 상식, 예절, 국가와 사회 공동체 인식, 세금납부, 법령 등 생활에 필요한 다양한 지식의 습득을 위한 것이다. 천자문오라이모노와 명수 관련 오라이모노는 일본의 역사와 관련된 기술이 나 역사서, 신화와 관련된 내용으로 ‘일본’의 국가 의식을 강화시켰다. 장문으로 구성된 􋺷신찬세대오라이􋺸에서는 생활에서 지켜야 되는 윤리 도덕을 유교와 관 련되어 설명하고 있다. 􋺷종문오라이􋺸에서는 당시 활발하게 포교활동을 하던 기 독교를 금지시키고 일본 불교를 강화시켰다. 􋺷일본신국오라이􋺸에서는 ‘일본은 신국’이라는 이미지를 한 층 더 강렬하게 각인시켰다. 또한 􋺷어성패식목􋺸과 􋺷무 가제법도􋺸, 􋺷오인조장전서􋺸과 같은 법령류 오라이모노는 공동체적 시점에서 ‘공적 인간’의 이미지를 강화시켰다. ‘사회과오라이모노’에서 교양의 생산과 유통, 교양의 내면화, 공통된 교양의 형성 등의 측면을 시야에 넣을 때 ‘사회과오라이모노’의 의미를 새롭게 이해할 수 있게 된다. 전근대 일본에서 어떠한 ‘지’가 유통되고 학습되면서 전사회적, 문화적으로 공통된 ‘교양’을 형성했는지가 보다 선명해진다.
