At home and abroad, accelerators are a rapidly growing startups ecosystem phenomenon. However, research on the impact of accelerator incubation programs on startups entrepreneurial performance is difficult to find both at home and abroad. The purpose of this study is to empirically verify the usefulness of the incubation program on which factors of the accelerator incubation programs affect the startups entrepreneurial performance. In addition, it aims to verify whether the entrepreneur’ characteristics affect the startup's entrepreneurial performance. An online survey was conducted on 345 startups representatives who graduated from accelerator incubation programs nationwide. As a result of the empirical analysis, education, mentoring, and seed investment among accelerator incubation programs did not directly affect entrepreneurial performance, whereas networks directly noted entrepreneurial performance. Among the entrepreneur’ characteristics, passion for work and tenacity directly paid attention to entrepreneurial performance. In addition, as a result of verifying the mediating effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, education and mentoring among accelerator incubator programs were significant in entrepreneurial performance by completely mediating entrepreneurial self-efficacy, whereas networks and seed investment were not significant. Among the entrepreneur’ characteristics, passion for work and tenacity were partly mediated by the entrepreneurial self-efficacy and paid attention to entrepreneurial performance. These findings are of great significance for the first time in Korea to empirically study the effects of individual accelerator incubation programs. Through this, it is intended to present a direction for accelerator selection to startups in the early stages of their startups and to provide implications for establishing government policies for accelerators.

국내외에서 액설러레이터는 빠르게 성장하는 창업 생태계 현상이다. 그러나 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램이 스타트업의 창업성과에 미치는 영향 연구는 국내외를 막론하고 거의 찾아보기 어려 운 형편이다. 본 연구는 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램의 어떤 요인이 스타트업의 창업성과에 영 향을 미치는지에 대해 보육 프로그램의 유용성을 실증적으로 검증하는데 있다. 또한 창업가 특 성이 스타트업의 창업성과에 영향을 미치는지도 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 전국의 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램을 졸업한 스타트업 대표 345명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 실증 분석 결과 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램중 교육, 멘토링, 초기투자는 창업성과에 직접적으로 유 의한 영향을 미치지 않는 반면 네트워크는 창업성과에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 창업가 특성 중 열정과 끈기는 창업성과에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 창업 자기효 능감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 액셀러레이터 보육 프로그램 중 교육과 멘토링은 창업 자기효능 감을 완전 매개로 하여 창업성과에 유의한 반면 네트워크와 초기투자의 매개효과는 유의하지 않 았다. 창업가 특성 중 열정과 끈기는 창업 자기효능감을 부분 매개로 하여 창업성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과는 액셀러레이터 개별 보육 프로그램의 효과를 우리나라에서 거의 처음으로 실증적으로 연구한 데 그 의의가 있다. 이를 통해 창업 초기에 있는 스타트업에게 액셀러레이터 선택에 대한 방향성을 제시하고 액셀러레이터에 대한 정부정책 수립에 시사점 을 제공하고자 한다.
