The aim of this study is to examine the occurrence and evolution of Samgomu, previously known as the creation of Lee Mae-bang. It is believed that Samgomu’s premiere was performed by Leem Chun-Aeng in the mid-1940s. It can be said that Lee Mae-bang started Samgomu in the early and mid 50s when the circumstances and timing of the interview were matched. Throughout the 60s and 70s, Lee Mae-bang gradually completed his original excitement by reducing the number of drums and adding movements and rhythmic syncopation. The Jangdan, which consisted only of Jajinmori and Huimori, was 8 to 9 minutes long in the order of Utmori-Jajinmori-Dongsalpuri-Huimori, and was expanded from a solo dance to an independent group dance. Starting from in 1984, the improvisation of the work was weakened, but the sequence was established, the dance movements were emphasized, and it was transformed into a true drum dance. It became , a dance work that appreciates the choreography of drumming from chasing the drums. raised the dignity of multiple drums damce with a dance movement that looks like a body drawing of the rhythmic rhythm and evolved Samgomu into an artistic creative dance. This can be said to be the product of Lee Maebang’s individual genius and ceaseless efforts.

이 연구는 기존에 이매방 창작으로 알려졌던 삼고무의 발생과 진화 과정에 대해 고 찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 삼고무의 초연은 1940년대 중반 임춘앵이 추었던 것으로 추정된다. 이매방은 인터뷰의 정황과 시기를 맞추어 보았을 때 50년대 초중반 삼고무 를 시작했다고 볼 수 있다. 이매방은 60~70년대를 거치면서 북의 수를 줄이고 동작 과 리드미컬한 엇박을 추가하여 그만이 독창적인 신명을 점차 완성해 나갔다. 자진모 리와 휘모리로만 구성되었던 장단도 엇모리-자진모리-동살풀이-휘모리의 순서로 8~9분 길이가 되었고, 혼자 추는 창작 승무에서 독립적인 군무 작품으로 확장되었다. 84년 <북소리 Ⅰ>을 기점으로 작품의 즉흥성은 약화되었지만 순서가 정립되고 율동 이 강조되며 진정한 북‘춤’으로 변모하였다. 북소리를 쫓아가는 것에서 북을 치는 몸짓 을 ‘감상’하는 무용 작품 <이매방삼고무>가 된 것이다. <이매방삼고무>는 리드미컬 한 장단에 여백을 두어 장단을 몸으로 그리는 듯한 춤동작으로 다고무의 품격을 높였 고 삼고무를 예술적인 창작무로 진화시켰다. 이는 이매방 개인의 천재성과 부단한 노 력으로 만들어낸 산물이라 할 수 있다.
