Seoul Yangnyeongsi is the largest oriental medicine complex in Korea, with more than 1,000 oriental medicine-related companies including oriental medicine clinics, herbal medicine stores, herbal medicine stores, herbal medicine stores, and imported herbal medicine dealers. There are more than 300 oriental medicine clinics, 50 pharmaceutical companies, and 100 health food and agricultural products wholesale and retail stores. You can purchase not only herbal medicines, but also folk remedies, and sealed packaging is also possible. However, due to the recent development mainly in the food industry, small and medium-sized herbal medicine companies have moved to local regions to establish herbal medicine food factories. Currently, only small-scale herbal medicine-related companies remain, and business closures and startups are frequent. Therefore, looking at the process of cluster growth in Seoul Yangnyeongsi, it occurred as the history and diversity of the network developed were amplified. Now it is experiencing a bit of a downturn, because the network's effectiveness in finding new order is limited.

서울약령시장은 국내 최대의 한의약 종합 단지로서 한의원, 한약방, 한약국을 비롯해 약초상회, 제분소, 탕제원, 수입약제상 등 한의학 관련업체 1,000여 곳이 모여 있다. 한의원이 3백 여곳, 약업사가 50여 곳, 건강식품 및 농산물도소매 상회 100여 곳 등이다. 한약재뿐만 아니라 민간요법 약재도 구입할 수 있으며, 탕제원에서 밀봉포장을 해준다. 하지만 최근에 식품산업 위주로 발전하다보니 중소한약재 관련사업자들이 한약식품 공장설립을 위해 지방으로 이전하는 현상도 나타난다. 그 이유로 현재는 영세규모의 한약 관련 업체들만 남아 있으며 폐업과 창업이 빈번하다. 한편 서울약령시의 클러스터 성장과정을 보면, 네트워크 가 발전되어 온 역사성 및 다양성이 증폭되면서 발생하였는데 지금은 다소 침체를 겪고 있다. 신질서를 찾으려는 네트워크의 확대가 제한적이라는 문제점이 지적된다.
