The current status of education was analyzed and the cases of pre-primary elementary teachers on the method of ‘making a knot by winding a thread on a hand needle when starting hand sewing’ was analyzed. Based on the results of the analysis, a new direction of education for the ‘making a knot by winding a thread on a hand needle when starting hand sewing’ method that reflects diversity was suggested. The ‘making a knot by winding a thread on a hand needle when starting hand sewing’ method was presented in photographs and explanations in one type of textbooks for elementary school practical arts 6 in the 2015 revised curriculum and in practical arts education books for pre-primary elementary school teacher education published after the 2009 revised curriculum. ‘The hand that raises the hand needle and thread’ showed the same tendency in the order of ‘mainly right hand’, ‘mainly left hand’, ‘always left hand’, ‘always right hand’ and ‘both hands’ in the whole group and right-handed group. The left-handed group was ‘mainly left hand’, ‘both hands’, ‘mainly right hand’ and ‘always left hand’. These tended to be different from the predictions of conventional handles so far. ‘The direction of threading a hand needle’ showed the same tendency in the order of ‘clockwise’, ‘counterclockwise’ and ‘sometimes different’ in the whole group and right-handed group. However, the left-handed group showed different tendency in the order of ‘counterclockwise’, ‘clockwise’, and ‘sometimes different’. There was a statistically significant difference (p<.05) between the handedness and the ‘the hand that raises the hand needle and thread’, but there was no statistically significant difference between the handedness and the ‘the direction of threading a hand needle’. ‘The hand holding the needle and the thread’ to be sewn seems to be related to the important factor in the classification of handedness. Lastly, based on the current status of education and case analysis, a new direction of education was suggested by developing a ‘making a knot by winding a thread on a hand needle when starting hand sewing’ method that considers diversity.

‘손바늘에 실을 감아 만드는 손바느질 시작매듭 짓기’ 방법의 교육 현황은 문헌연구를 통해 분석 하고, 예비초등교사들을 대상으로 한 교육의 실제에서 얻어진 사례를 ‘손바늘과 실을 올리는 손가 락의 손’과 ‘손바늘에 실을 감는 방향’을 중심으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 다양성이 반영 된 ‘손바늘에 실을 감아 만드는 손바느질 시작매듭 짓기’ 방법을 개발하여 제시함으로서 ‘손바늘에 실을 감아 만드는 손바느질 시작매듭 짓기’ 방법의 새로운 교육 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. ‘손바늘에 실을 감아 만드는 손바느질 시작매듭 짓기’ 방법의 교육 현황은 2015 개정교육과정 초등학교 실과 6 1종의 교과서와 2009 개정교육과정을 대비하는 시기 이후 출판된 예비초등교사 교육을 위한 실과와 관련된 전공서적들에서 사진과 설명으로 제시되고 있다. ‘손바늘과 실을 올리는 손가락의 손’은 전체 집단과 오른손잡이 집단에서 ‘주로 오른손’이 가장 많았으며, 다음으로 ‘주로 왼손’, ‘항상 왼손’, ‘항상 오른손’, ‘양손’의 순으로 같은 경향을 보였으나, 왼손잡이 집단은 ‘주로 왼손’, ‘양손’, ‘주로 오른손’, ‘항상 왼손’의 순이었으며, 지금까지의 일반적인 손잡이의 예측과 다른 경향을 보였다. ‘손바늘에 실을 감는 방향’은 전체 집단과 오른손잡이 집단에 서 ‘시계 방향’이 가장 많았으며, 그 다음으로 ‘반시계 방향’, ‘때때로 다름’의 순으로 같은 경향을 보 였으나, 왼손잡이 집단은 ‘반시계 방향’이 가장 많았으며, 그 다음으로 ‘시계 방향’, ‘때때로 다름’의 순으로 다른 경향을 보였다. 손잡이와 ‘손바늘에 실을 올리는 손가락의 손’간에는 통계적으로 유의 미한 차이(p<.05)를 보였으나, 손잡이와 ‘손바늘에 실을 감는 방향’간에는 통계적인 유의미한 차이 를 보이지 않았는데, 이는 ‘손바늘과 바느질 할 실을 잡는 손’이 손잡이 분류의 중요한 요소인 것과 관계있는 것으로 보인다. 마지막으로, 교육 현황과 사례 분석을 바탕으로 다양성을 고려한 ’손바늘 에 실을 감아 만드는 손바느질 시작매듭 짓기‘ 방법을 개발하여 새로운 교육의 방향을 제시하였다.
