This study aims to examine research trends in Korean music education through keyword network analysis of the articles published in ‘The Journal of Korean Music Education Research.’ For this, 100 abstracts published between September 2015 and December 2020 were analyzed for keyword frequency, co-occurrence frequency, and centrality using semantic network analysis. As a result of the analysis, a total of 2872 keywords were extracted. The findings of the study are as follows. Firstly, the keyword frequency analysis revealed that ‘music,’ ‘Korean music,’ ‘music textbook,’ ‘education,’ ‘contents,’ and ‘educational curriculum’ were the main keywords. Secondly, the analysis of co-occurrence frequency among keywords showed that ‘the subject of music’ & ‘curriculum,’ ‘revision’ & ‘the subject of music,’ ‘instruction’ & ‘contents,’ ‘teaching and learning’ & ‘method,’ ‘middle school’ & ‘music textbook,’ ‘Korean music’ & ‘education,’ and ‘the subject of music’ & ‘include’ were highly relevant keywords. Thirdly, the centrality analysis showed that ‘music textbooks,’ ‘contents,’ and ‘curriculum’ were a core subject domain while ‘application,’ ‘appreciation,’ ‘music pieces for class use,’ ‘characteristics,’ ‘expression,’ and ‘linkage’ played a role in linking keywords of Korean music education research as a domain with expandability to be studied in the future. In particular, ‘appreciation,’ ‘competency,’ and ‘integration’ were keywords with the academic value that could increase the importance of research. This study is meaningful in that it conducted research on the keyword analysis of ‘The Journal of Korean Music Education Research’ to understand research trends and to suggest fields for further research. In future studies, it is expected that research on Korean music education that can support learners in terms of psychological and emotional aspects and research that can promote the qualitative growth and utilization of Korean music linking with related studies will be conducted.

본 연구는 ‘국악교육연구’ 학술지에 게재된 논문들의 주제어 연결망 분석을 통해 국악교육 연구의 동향을 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2015년 9월 이후부터 2020년 12월까지 ‘국악교육연구’ 학술지에 게재된 논문 100편의 초록을 대상으로 언어 네트워크 프로그램으로 분석하여 주제어의 빈도수, 연결망 및 중심성을 분석한 결과, 총 2872개의 주제어가 추출되 었다. 이에 대한 결과는 첫째, 주제어 빈도는 ‘음악’이 가장 높고, ‘국악’, ‘음악교과서’, ‘교육’, ‘내용’, ‘교육과정’ 순으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 주제어 간 연결빈도는 ‘음악과’와 ‘교육과정’ 이 가장 높고, ‘개정’과 ‘음악과’, ‘지도’와 ‘내용’, ‘교수학습’과 ‘방법’, ‘중학교’와 ‘음악교과 서’, ‘국악’과 ‘교육’, ‘음악교과’와 ‘수록’ 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 주제어의 연결중심성은 ‘국 악’, ‘음악교과서’, ‘내용’, ‘음악’순으로 나타났고, 매개중심성은 ‘음악’, ‘국악’, ‘음악교과서’, ‘교육’, ‘내용’, ‘교육과정’, ‘활동’, ‘활용’, ‘교수학습’, ‘음악과’, ‘문화’, ‘지도’, ‘제시’, ‘이해’, ‘개정’, ‘학생’, ‘방법’, ‘집단’, ‘필요’, ‘분석’, ‘영역’, ‘요소’, ‘연구’, ‘민요’, ‘방안’, ‘연계’, ‘표 현’, ‘특징’, ‘제재곡’, ‘감상’, ‘적용’이 동일하게 높았으며, 위세중심성은 ‘국악’, ‘음악교과서’, ‘내용’ 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 현재 국악교육연구는 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정을 반영한 음악교과서의 지도 내용, 교수학습방법이 주요한 주제로 연구되고 있으며 향후 교육현장에서의 국악교육의 실천적 수행과 다양한 장르의 국악 제재곡, 역량 강화를 위한 국악의 통합적 활용, 국악창작활동 영역에서의 연구 수행이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 ‘국악교육연구’의 주제어 분석 연구를 수행하여 연구동향의 흐름을 파악하고 향후 연 구가 필요한 분야에 대해 제시한 것에 의의가 있다. 추후 연구에서는 국악교육연구 주제어의 범위를 세부화하여 전문화되고 심도 있는 연구주제 도출 및 국악교육의 저변을 확대할 수 있는 연구가 수행되기를 기대한다.
