The purpose of this study is to present the basic principles of holistic education through a single case, and through this, to provide a foundation for teachers and educational support groups to more easily understand and practice holistic education. In this study, the following cases were considered in the center to select suitable cases for this. 1) A theme that includes all the basic principles of holistic education (balance, inclusion, connection); 2) Subjects with high convergence; 3) Subjects with high authenticity and flow; 4) Topics that cover both cognitive and justice domains; 5) Subjects suitable for teaching teachers and educational support groups; 6) Considering the topics that teachers and educational support groups can easily relate to. The results of analyzing the journey of Apollo 13 selected according to these criteria in the main body of this study are as follows. First, the journey of Apollo 13 is evaluated as a single case that includes all the basic principles of holistic education (balance, inclusion, connection). Second, it is evaluated that the basic principles of holistic education can be a criterion for selecting the subject of the integrated curriculum (convergence education). In conclusion, this study aims to argue the necessity of various follow-up studies including all the basic principles of holistic education in order for teachers and educational support groups to understand and practice holistic education more easily.

이 연구의 목적은 단일 사례를 통해 ‘홀리스틱 교육’의 기본원리(균형․포괄․연계)를 제시해 교 사 및 교육지원 그룹이 보다 쉽게 홀리스틱 교육을 이해하고 실천할 수 있는 토대를 제공하는 것이 다. 이 연구에서는 이를 위한 적합한 사례를 선정하기 위해 1) 홀리스틱 교육의 기본원리(균형․포 괄․연계)를 모두 포함하는 주제; 2) 융합성이 높은 주제; 3) 사실성(authentic)과 몰입성(flow)이 높은 주제; 4) 인지적․정의적 영역을 모두 포함하는 주제; 5) 교사 및 교육지원 그룹 교육에 적합한 주 제; 6) 교사 및 교육지원 그룹이 쉽게 공감할 수 있는 주제를 검토하였다. 이러한 기준에 따라 선정 된 아폴로 13호 여정을 이 연구의 본론에서 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아폴로 13호 여정은 홀리스틱 교육의 기본원리(균형․포괄․연계)를 모두 포함하는 단일 사례로 평가된다. 둘째, 홀리스 틱 교육의 기본원리(균형․포괄․연계)는 통합교육과정(융합교육)의 주제를 선정하기 위한 기준이 될 수 있는 것으로 평가된다. 이 연구는 이러한 분석을 토대로 결론에서 교사 및 교육지원 그룹이 홀 리스틱 교육을 보다 쉽게 이해하고 실천하기 위해 홀리스틱 교육의 기본원리(균형․포괄․연계)를 모두 포함하는 다양한 후속 연구의 필요성을 주장하고자 한다.
