The purpose of this study is to examine Lane's Early Childhood Educational Views and to reveal its educational implications. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, the formation background of Lane's Early Childhood Views was first considered, the Early Childhood Views was explored, and educational implications were derived based on this. The method of research is the study of literature, mainly analyzed and discussed focusing on Lane's book "Talks to Parents and Teachers". The educational implications of Lane's baby tube are as follows. First, an infant is a complete individual personality as a spiritual and spiritual being. Second, the ultimate purpose of early childhood education lies in the happiness of infants, namely the happiness of creation. Third, let us know the role of educators and the true authority of educators. Fourth, infants grow through play, and play itself is the purpose. In conclusion, Lane's early childhood educational ideas and early childhood educational views based on practice and experience based on his educational beliefs and these beliefs suggest a lot to the reality of early childhood education in Korea in that they aim to respect the nature of infants and seek their true nature.

이 연구의 목적은 레인의 유아교육관을 고찰하고 그 교육적 시사점을 밝히는 데 있다. 이러한 연 구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 먼저 레인의 유아관의 형성배경을 고찰하고, 유아교육관을 탐색하였 으며, 이에 근거하여 교육적 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구방법은 문헌연구이며, 주로 레인의 저서 『Talks to Parents and Teachers』를 중심으로 분석하고 논의하였다. 레인의 유아교육관이 지니는 교육적 시사점을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아는 영적 정신적 존재로서 완전한 개별적 인격체이다. 둘째, 유아교육의 궁극적인 목적은 유아의 행복, 즉 창조의 행복에 있다. 셋째, 교육자의 역할과 교육자의 참다운 권위를 알게 한다. 넷째, 유아는 놀이를 통해서 성장하며, 놀이는 그 자체가 목적이다. 결론적으로 자신의 교육적 신념과 교육철학을 바탕으로 실천과 경험에 근거한 레인의 유아 교 육사상과 유아교육관은 유아의 본성을 존중하고 본성을 실현하는 교육을 지향하고 있다는 점에서 한국 유아교육 현실에 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다.
