Recognizing the importance of its unique contribution to the economic growth of a country worldwide, startup education has become activated in South Korea shown by an increased budget of Ministry of Education associated with startup program and diversified education program at colleges and universities. However, extant body of literature on student startups left the characteristics of universities such as organizational characteristics, competency, and procedural points of extracurricular to be disclosed further. Therefore, the current study attempted to explore ways in which student startup is increased by analyzing the association among startup education and the variables of interests. Drawing on the data from Edu-data Service and Higher Education Information system, this study applied stepwise regression. Major findings of the study are as follows : first, universities need to continuously increase their competency in which startup education becomes strengthen. Next, universities are required to take root in mechanism by which students continue to take courses related to startups with a goal of increased foundation of an enterprise. Lastly, administers at colleges and universities need to manage startup student groups by improving the ways of operating and supporting them. The current study finds its unique contribution in that it provided university level policy alternatives to increase student startups.

그 동안 교육부의 각종 창업 관련 사업과 예산 확대, 대학 차원에서의 창업교육 다 양화 및 창업 활성화를 위한 노력이 이루 어져 왔다. 그러나 기존의 학생 창업에 관 한 연구는 대학의 특성들, 즉 대학의 기관 특성과 조직 역량 특성, 창업교육과 같은 비교과 교육과정의 과정적 특성에 관한 효 과 분석에 소홀하였다. 이러한 문제의식에 기반하여 본 연구는 학생 창업과 관련한 대학 기관 특성 및 조직 역량 특성 변인, 창업교육이라는 대학교육의 과정적 특성 변인의 효과성을 분석함으로써 학생 창업 성과의 증대 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 해결하기 위해 활용한 분석 자료는 ‘에듀데이터 서비스 시스 템’ 데이터와 ‘대학정보공시’ 데이터이 며, 분석 방법은 순차적 회귀분석이다. 분 석결과, 학생창업자수에 영향을 미치는 변 인은 대학의 규모, SCI급 논문수로 나타났 고, 창업전담교원수, 창업동아리 참여인원 은 학생창업자수의 차이를 만들어내는 데 기여하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과에 기초하여 대학생의 창업성과 증대를 위한 정책적 시사점을 제공하면 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 대학은 창업지원역량을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 지속적으로 모색할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 학생 창업성과를 높이 기 위해서는 학생들이 대학의 창업강좌를 지속적으로 수강하면서 창업교육에 보다 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 기제를 제공해 주어야 한다. 셋째, 창업동아리 운영과 지 원 방식에 대한 점검과 개선을 통해 창업 동아리에 대한 대학 차원의 체계적인 질 관리가 필요하다. 본 연구는 학생의 창업 성과 증대를 위한 대학 차원의 정책수립을 위한 시사점을 제공해 주었다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
