This paper is a Translation and comment on the Chronology of Eowoo Ryu, Mong-in’s life edited by Ryu, Geum. Among the chronology of Eowoo Ryu, Mong-in’s life, all the articles from 1559, when the Ryu, Mong-in was born to 1623, when he died, and the pedigree of Eowoo Ryu, Mong-in attached to the Chronology, were all translated and commented. Ryu, Mong-in has been noted as a writer of the Eowoo’s unofficial version of a historical story. Since then, centering on aspects such as the tragedy portrayed by his life of ‘self confidence-choice as one person-frustration’, the loneliness caused by the attitude of sticking to his own opinion, a difficulty and a diversity expressed in the recognition of unique literary nature, and the confession of life, poetry, prose, and criticism were highlighted. However, the translation and comment on chronology of Eowoo Ryu, Mong-in’s life, has never been attempted. This is the reason why this paper put effort into the translation and comment on chronology of Eowoo Ryu, Mong-in’s life. As it was the first result of the translation and comment on chronology of Eowoo Ryu, Mong-in’s life, I paid attention to the confirmation of incidents and facts, correction of errors, the presentation of the annual report and the date of creation of the work that is the basis of the article. There won’t be nothing to do.

본고는 柳琹이 편집한 『於于先生年譜』 (국립중앙도서관 소장본 및 연세대학교 소장본: 고서(I) 920 유몽인 어-년)의 譯註이다. 『어우선생연보』 중 柳夢寅이 태어난 1559년부터 사망한 1623년까지의 기사와 『어우선생연보』 에 첨부된 <於于柳先生世系>까지 모두 역주하였다. 『於于野譚』 의 작가로 주목받은 이래, ‘자부 / 一人으로서의 선택 / 좌절’이라는 그의 삶이 그려낸 悲劇性, ‘스스로의 견해[己見]’를 고수했던 태도가 야기한 孤獨, 고유한 文藝美 인식에서 발현된 難解性과 다양성, <與楡岾寺僧靈運書>로 대표되는 삶의 고백 등을 중심으로, 유몽인의 시와 산문과 비평의식이 조명되었다. 다만 연구의 기초라 할 수 있는 연보의 역주는 시도된 적이 없다. 이것이 본고가 『어우선생연보』 의 역주에 노력을 기울인 이유이다. 처음으로 결과 맺은 『어우선생연보』 역주인 만큼 사건과 사실의 확인 및 오류의 수정, 연보 기사의 출전과 해당 기사의 바탕이 되는 작품의 창작 연도 비정 등에 유의하였으므로, 유몽인 연구에 본 역주가 기여하게 될 바가 없지는 않을 것이다.
