In this paper, we looked at how Southeast Asian-related records, centered on Youyangzazu, written by Duan Cheng-shi, came into China during the Tang Dynasty and had an impact on Chinese narrative. In the pre-Tang Dynasty era, exchanges were mainly conducted on land silk roads. However, during the Tang Dynasty, information about Southeast Asia flowed into China by sea silk road, which was recorded in a sentence that provided foreign information from Youyangzazu, such as Jingyi, Wuyi and Guangdongzhi. Youyangzazu has a wide range of records on the history of East Asia, Southwest Asia and Southeast Asia. Among them, due to the lack of research on Southeast Asian narratives so far, we looked at the exchange of narrative between China and Southeast Asia, focusing on Southeast Asia narratives. Southeast Asia narratives divided it into strange objects, strange characters and strange stories. Strange objects from Southeast Asia were used as new materials in the narrative by stimulating people's fantasies. Also, records of Southeast Asian characters with unique shapes and customs have led the Chinese to create new character figures. In this process of creation, the unique features of Southeast Asian characters were emphasized and transformed into mysterious characters. And we could also look at the trend of Chineseization combined with the image of Taoist immortal, which is China's ideology. In addition, the Southeast Asian narrative itself was introduced into China, which was adapted into a new story as it became popular in China and expressed as a new method of Illusion.

본고에서는 段成式의 『酉陽雜俎』를 중심으로 동남아와 관련된 기록들이 唐代 중국에 들어와 중국 서사에 어떠한 영향을 끼쳤는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 당 이전 시기에는 주로 육상 실크로드를 통해 교류가 이루어졌다면 당대에는 해상 실크로드를 통해 동남아에 대한 정보가 중국으로 들어왔고 이러한 정보는 『유양잡조』의 ｢境異｣, ｢物異｣, ｢廣動植｣ 등 異域에 대한 정보를 제공하는 권에 기록되었다. 『유양잡조』에는 동아시아, 서남아시아, 동남아시아 등 이역에 대한 기록이 다양하게 존재하지만, 그중에서도 동남아 서사에 대한 연구가 상대적으로 미진하기에 본고에서는 『유양잡조』의 정보를 바탕으로 중국과 동남아의 서사 교류에 대해 奇物, 異族, 奇事의 측면에서 고찰해보았다. 동남아에서 들어온 신기한 물품들은 사람들의 환상을 자극하여 서사 속에서 새로운 소재로 활용되었고 독특한 형상과 풍습을 가진 이민족들에 대한 기록은 중국인들에게 새로운 인물형상을 창조하게 했다. 이러한 창조의 과정 속에서 동남아 인물들의 특이한 모습이 강조되기도 하고 신비한 능력을 가진 인물로 변화되기도 했으며 道敎 神仙의 모습과 결합하여 중국화되는 경향도 살펴볼 수 있었다. 또한 동남아 서사 자체가 중국에 유입되기도 했는데, 동남아 서사들은 중국에 들어와 전래되면서 새로운 이야기로 각색되기도 하고 서사 자체는 퇴색된 채 새로운 幻術의 방법으로 표현되기도 했다.
