Among the many factors for communication skills, pronunciation is the most important and fundamental factor. In particular, accurate pronunciation is all the more important in Vietnamese learning, which depends on the tones. Even if you have a lot of linguistic knowledge such as grammar and vocabulary, you cannot communicate effectively unless you use correct pronunciation. In order for learners to use correct pronunciation, accurate pronunciation education will be needed at the beginning level of foreign language learning, where pronunciation habits are formed. This research is a case study on a teaching of Vietnamese tone to Korean learners in the class, a Vietnamese liberal arts course, which was opened at Y University in the second semester of 2019. Accordingly, this researcher recognized the importance of teaching Vietnamese tone in Vietnamese pronunciation education, and devised a teaching Vietnamese tone method suitable for the site of Vietnamese liberal arts course in order to improve Vietnamese communication skill. The effect was verified by applying it to the course .

의사소통 능력을 갖추기 위한 여러 요소들 중 발음은 가장 중요하면서 도 기본적인 요소이다. 특히, 성조에 따라 의미가 달라지는 베트남어 학습 에서 있어 정확한 발음 구사는 더욱 중요하고 할 수 있는데 이는 문법 지식 이나 어휘력 같은 언어적 지식을 많이 갖고 있더라도 정확한 발음을 구사 하지 않는다면 효과적인 의사소통을 할 수 없기 때문이다. 그리고 학습자 들이 정확한 발음을 구사 능력을 갖추기 위해서는 발음 습관이 형성되는 외국어 학습 초급 단계에서 정확한 발음 교육이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구자는 베트남어 발음 교육에서 성조 지도의 중요성을 인지하고, 베트남어 의사소통 능력 향상을 위해서 교양 베트남어 수업 현장에 맞는 성조 지도 수업 방안을 고안하였고, 이를 실제 2019년 2학기 Y대학교 에 개설된 교양 베트남어 교과목 <신짜오 베트남> 수업에 적용하여 효과 를 검증해 보았다.
