After the defeat of Japan and the liberation of Korea in 1945, Korea-Japan relations have been gradually developed by the political action of political leaders for historical reconciliation, and Korea and Japan relations will continue to be renewed through another historical reconciliation. The first historical reconciliation was the normalization of diplomatic relations under the Korea-Japan Claims Agreement of 1965, and the second historical reconciliation was the Partnership Declaration of 1998. I call the former “Korea-Japan Reconciliation 1.0”, the latter “Korea-Japan Reconciliation 2.0”, and the third historical reconciliation in the future “Korea-Japan Reconciliation 3.0”. This treatise outlines the process of historical reconciliation between Korea and Japan since its liberation in 1945. Focusing on the time when the gradual transformation took place, I will deal with the philosophical foundations that underpin the historical reconciliation of each stage. What should be noted here is that from 1945 to the present, the philosophical foundation of historical reconciliation between Korea and Japan was “responsible reconciliation,” and political leader to implement Korea-Japan Reconciliation 3.0 in the future is required to have a new philosophical foundation called “inclusive reconciliation.”

1945년 일본의 패전과 한국의 해방 이후, 한일관계는 정치지도자의 결단에 따른 역사화해라는 정치적 행위를 통해 단계적으로 발전해왔고, 앞으로도 또 다른 역사화해를 통해 한일관계는 새로운 단계로 진입할 것이다. 첫 번째 역사화해는 1965년의 청구권협정에 의한 국교정상화였으며, 두 번째 역사화해는 1998년의 김대중-오부치 파트너십 선언이었다. 필자는 전자를 ‘한일화해 1.0’으로 후자를 ‘한일화해 2.0’으로 부르고, 앞으로 있을 세 번째 역사화해를 ‘한일화해 3.0’으로 부를 것이다. 이 글에서는 1945년 해방 이후 오늘날까지 한일 역사화해의 전개 과정을 개괄한다. 특히 단계적 전환이 이루어지는 시점에 초점을 맞추어, 각 단계의 역사화해를 지탱하는 철학적 기초를 다뤄보려고 한다. 여기서 주목할 점은 1945년에서 현재까지 한일 역사화해의 철학적 기초가 ‘책임론적 화해’였다는 것이고, 앞으로 한일화해 3.0을 실행하려는 정치지도자에게는 ‘포용론적 화해’라는 새로운 철학적 기초가 요구된다는 점이다.

1945年、日本の敗戦と韓国の解放後、日韓関係は政治指導者の決断による歴史和解という政治的行為によって段階的に発展してきたし、これからも別の歴史和解を通じて日韓関係は新たな段階に入るだろう。最初の歴史和解は1965年の請求権協定による国交正常化であり、第二の歴史和解は、1998年の金大中-小渕パートナーシップ宣言だった。私は前者を｢日韓和解1.0｣で、後者を｢日韓和解2.0｣と呼んで、今後の第三の歴史和解を｢日韓和解3.0｣と呼ぶ。この論文では1945年の解放以後今日まで日韓の歴史和解の展開過程を概括する。特に段階的転換が行われる時点に焦点を合わせて、各段階の歴史和解を支える哲学的基礎を扱ってみる。ここで注目すべき点は、1945年から現在までに日韓の歴史和解の哲学的基礎が｢責任論的和解｣だったということで、今後、日韓和解3.0を実行しようとする政治指導者は｢包容論的和解｣という新しい哲学的基礎が要求されるという点である。
