In this study, the perception of the introduction of drones that can be used in the field of police was analyzed. Specifically, a survey of the public and police officers was conducted to determine which areas it was more acceptable to introduce drones and to analyze opinions on how to utilize them. According to the research results, there was no statistically significant difference between the police officers and the public in terms of the frequency of crimes using drones, and there was no significant difference between the police officer and the general public in terms of the area of using drones for police work. However, there was a significant difference between police officers and the general public in the "Operation Manual" section regarding the measures needed to use drones for police work. It is not yet important to the damage caused by drones, which needs to be promoted and educated more actively. When it comes to the use of public security drones, it is necessary to introduce them to the general public and police officers in the areas of security, such as collecting evidence, counterterrorism and patrol, which are relatively acceptable. In addition, measures should be devised to safely utilize drones and give trust to both the general public and police officers through the production of laws and manuals before the introduction of drones.

본 연구에서는 치안분야에 활용될 수 있는 드론의 도입에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 구체 적으로 일반국민과 경찰관을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 어떤 분야에 드론을 도입하는 것이 더 수용가능한지 여부를 확인하고 치안드론의 활용방안에 대한 의견을 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 드론을 이용한 범죄발생 빈도에 대한 인식은 경찰관과 일반국민 사 이에 유의미한 차이가 없었으며, 경찰업무 드론 활용 분야에 대한 인식도 경찰관과 일반국 민 사이의 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 그러나 경찰업무에 드론을 활용하기 위해 필요한 조치 에 대해서는 ’운용매뉴얼‘ 부분에 대해서 경찰관과 일반국민과 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 드론에 의한 범죄피해에 대해 아직은 중요하게 생각하지 않고 있는데, 이에 대해서는 보다 적극적인 홍보와 교육을 실시할 필요가 있다. 치안드론의 활용에 있어서는 일반국민 과 경찰관들에게 상대적으로 수용도가 높은 증거수집, 대테러, 순찰 등의 치안분야부터 도 입을 할 필요가 있다. 또한 드론 도입 전 법령 및 매뉴얼 제작을 통해 일반국민과 경찰관 모두 안전하게 드론을 활용하고 신뢰를 줄 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 한다.
