The purposes of this study is to examine college students’core competencies based on individual characteristics and to explore the factors affecting the competencies, thereby deriving implications for improving the effectiveness of competencies centered education. To this end, the competencies diagnostic tools developed by S university were used to measure convergence thinking skill, utilization of survey and analysis information, alternative proposal and problem solving skills of students. Also students’ learning experience and awareness of college satisfaction were investigated simultaneously. The data of 203 students were used for analysis, and T test, ANOVA and hierarchical multi-regression were applied. As a result, there was a difference in core competency according to major and admission type. In addition, active and cooperative class participation, academic challenges, and college education satisfaction were commonly derived as factors affecting the competencies. This study is meaningful in that it can provide useful information to other universities that utilize competency diagnosis tools by seeking ways to enhance the performance of competency education while considering the relation between students' core competencies, individual characteristics, and learning experience at the university level.

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 핵심역량이 개인배경에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는 비교하 고 이에 대한 영향요인을 개인배경 및 대학경험 측면에서 알아봄으로써, 대학의 역량 중심 교육성과를 제고할 수 있는 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 S대학이 자체 개발한 핵심역량 진단도구를 사용하여 융·복합적 사고능력, 조사·분석정보 활용능력, 대안제시·문제해결능력을 측정하고, 대학에서의 교수-학습경험과 대학 만족에 대한 학 생 인식을 조사하여 총 203명의 응답값을 분석에 활용하였다. 연구방법으로 독립표본 T 검정과 일원배치분산분석을 활용하였고, 개인배경, 교수-학습경험, 대학만족도 변인 군 을 추가적으로 투입하는 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 조사·분석정보 활용능력의 하위요인인 정보수집, 분석 및 활용에 전공계열별 차이가 나타났으며, 수시 입학생보다 정시 입학생이 정보수집, 분석 및 활용, 대안제시 및 평가 능력이 높은 것으 로 나타났다. 또한 대학생의 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 대학의 교수-학습경 험과 관련 있는 수업참여, 학업도전 및 열의, 대학 교육만족도가 공통적으로 도출되었 다. 이 연구는 개별 대학차원에서 기 개발된 역량진단도구를 활용하여 학생들의 핵심역 량과 개인특성, 대학 내 교수-학습경험의 연관성을 고려하는 가운데 역량교육의 성과 제고 방향을 모색함으로써 역량진단도구를 활용하는 타 대학에도 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
