This study discussed the improvement of CPTED curriculum for the relevant local officials in the implementation of CPTED pilot projects and related projects being pursued by each city and province. In addition, the CPTED curriculum of each country was reviewed to suggest measures suitable for domestic situations. First, offline courses presented proposals for the formation of collaborative and field-oriented education curricula, production of specialized textbooks, introduction of evaluation systems, and improvement of collective curriculum programs. In order to help efficiently carry out official duties in the event of the recent spread of infectious diseases such as the COVID19 virus, the online curriculum needs to be fully utilized to promote learning and maximize practical use of CPTED strategies through the development of curricula involving practitioners from local governments, police stations, education offices, public institutions under their jurisdiction, and urban and architectural fields. Due to the essential nature of the CPTED project, local governments are bound to be the main players rather than the police in planning and budget allocation. In particular, active discussions and cooperation with the Crime Prevention and Diagnosis Team (CPO) deployed at each police station are needed in securing the budget. It is also essential to establish a regular consultative body in which various opinions of local residents can be heard and discussed directly.

이 연구는 각 시·도에서 추진하고 있는 CPTED 시범사업 및 관련 사업 추진에 있어 해당 지역의 관계자들을 대상으로 하는 CPTED 교육과정 개선에 대한 논의를 진행하였다. 각국의 CPTED 교육과정을 고찰하여, 국내 실정에 적합한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 효율적인 교 육과정에 대해 두 가지 방향에 대해 논의하였다. 첫째, 오프라인 과정으로는 협업과 현장중심의 교육 커리큘럼 구성과 전문교재 제작, 평가제도 도입, 집합교육과정 프로그램 개선안을 제시하였고, 온라인 과정으로는 최근 코로나19 바이러스 등 감염병 확산 상황에서도 효율적인 공무 수행에 도움을 주고 자 온라인 교육과정의 의의와 장점을 최대한 활용하여 다양한 이론 및 현장 시뮬레이션을 위한 온라 인 교육과정의 설계 구상을 위해 사전에 해당 지역 지자체, 경찰관서, 교육청, 산하 공공기관 및 도시 및 건축분야 유관기관의 실무자들이 참여한 교육과정의 개발을 통해 교육 대상자들의 학습이해 증진 과 CPTED 전략의 정책 연계 및 실무적용 활용성을 극대화 할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다. CPTED사업의 본질적인 특성상 기획과 예산배정 등에 있어 경찰보다 지방자치단체가 주가 될 수 밖에 없다. 특히 예산 확보 부분에 있어서는 각 경찰서에 배치되어 있는 범죄예방진단팀(CPO)과의 적극적인 논의와 협업이 필요하다. 또한 지역 주민의 다양한 의견을 청취하고, 직접 참여하여 논의 할 수 있는 상시 협의체 구축 또한 필수적이다. 결국 시민의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 CPTED 관련 사 업의 성공은 해당 지역의 관계자들을 대상으로 한 CPTED 교육이 출발점이라 할 수 있으며, 지속가 능한 시민안전 정책 구현을 위한 가장 중요한 절차로 볼 수 있다.
