The purpose of this study was to evaluate and confirm the item fitness, difficulty level, and response category of the career development scale, which was developed as 44 items to measure the career development level of elementary school students. For this purpose, final sample included 680 Korean elementary school students. And it was analyzed by applying Rasch model based on item response theory. The program for Rasch used R and BlueSky Statistics. The results of this study were as follows; First, 11 items showed problems in item mean square statistics. Second, it is appropriate to construct the items with 4 point Likert scale. Third, the item difficulty of the current measurement needs to be revised. Finally, Based on the results, we provided suggestions for future studies and emphasized the need for using the Rasch model in career assessment.

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생 진로발달 수준을 측정하기 위해 44개 문항으로 개발된 진로발달 척 도의 문항적합도, 문항응답범주 적절성 및 문항난이도 적합성을 평가하여 타당도를 확인하는 데 있 다. 이를 위해 초등학생 680명의 응답 결과를 분석에 활용하였고 문항반응이론에 기초한 Rasch 모형을 적용하였으며 데이터 전처리와 분석에는 R, BlueSky Statistics를 활용하였다. 그 결과 문항적합도 분석을 통해 13개 문항을 삭제하였으며 응답범주 적절성 검토를 통해 기존의 5점 척도 보다 4점 척도가 더 적절한 것임을 밝혔다. 또한 문항난이도 적합성 분석을 통해 진로발달수준이 높은 피험자를 위한 문항이 자기이해 및 진로설계 요인에서 더 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연 구결과를 바탕으로 진로발달도구를 개발하고 활용함에 있어 검사도구의 타당화 과정이 보다 정교화 되어야 함을 제언하였다.
