This research studied both the aesthetics of performance and art form of lecture format to justify the structure and aesthetics of online lecture performance. Furthermore, based on Lacan's theory, the aesthetic of online lecture performance were explored. Performance, the representative medium of the present, is played in online times and spaces that symbolize absence. The point where lecture, which mainly focuses on language and narratives, meets body, behavior, performing-based performances was studied through prior related studies, works, and Lacan's psychoanalysis theory. As a result, online lecture Performance is a fusion contemporary art form that combines the non-face-to-face technical environment of online, the language or narrative of lecture, and the performance of performing-oriented performers. By having its own unique time and spatial structure and allowing the audience to experience sublimation experiences through the application of the work, it was inferred that Lacan was aiming for aesthetics that evoked a return from the symbolic world to imaginary. In addition, the fact that Lacan's theory was applied as a methodology to the online lecture performance study, which is just drawing attention to its formal, aesthetic and structural features, is considered a meaningful attempt for this study to be evaluated academically. The contemporarty online lecture performance may have been an inevitable form of formality in Covid-19 emergency, not a real-time lecture or face-to-face performance, but artists and audiences using it have recognized it as one of the new form of art and are transforming its style and genre. And the online lecture performance implies the potential and desire to be reborn as the most experimental contemporary art form in the environment of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

본 연구는 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스의 구조와 미학을 사유하기 위해 렉처 형식의 의미 그리고 예술 형식으로서 퍼포먼스를 연구하고, 나아가 라캉의 정신분석 이론을 바탕으로 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스만의 미학적 특징을 탐색하였다. 현존의 대표 매체인 퍼포먼스가 부재를 상징하는 온라인 시, 공간에서 유영하며, 언어와 내러티브를 주 소재로 하는 렉처가 몸과 행위, 수행을 기반으로 하는 퍼포먼스와 만나는 지경을 선행연구들과 작품들 그리고 라캉의 이론을 통해 분석했다. 결과적으로 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스는 온라인이라는 비대면 기술환경과 렉처라는 언어를 사용하는 형식 그리고 퍼포먼스라는 행위 중심의 퍼포머의 수행이 모두 합쳐진 융·복합 예술 형식으로서, 나름의 독특한 시, 공간 구조를 가지고 있다. 관객이 작품의 응시를 통해 승화적 경험을 체험하게 함으로써, 라캉이 이야기하는 상상계로의 상징계로부터의 회귀를 불러일으키는 미학을 지향하고 있음을 추론했다. 아울러 이제 막 그 형식적, 미학적, 구조적 특징이 주목받고 있는 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스 연구에 그 방법론으로써 라캉의 이론을 접목한 점은 본 연구가 학술적으로 평가받을 수 있는 의미 있는 시도라 생각된다. 최근의 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스는 실시간 렉처도, 대면 퍼포먼스도 아닌 비상상황에 어쩔 수 없는 형식적 껍데기였을 수도 있지만, 이를 활용하는 예술가들과 관객들로 인해 새로운 예술 형식의 하나로 인식되고 또 그 유형과 장르를 변모시키는 중이다. 그리고 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스는 4차 산업혁명이라는 환경 속에서 가장 실험적인 예술 형식으로 거듭날 저력과 욕망을 내포하고 있다. 구체적으로 라캉 정신분석 이론의 세 범주인 상상계, 상징계, 실재계를 사유하며, 라캉의 욕망이론을 통해 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스의 구조와 미학을 직조해보고자 하는 시도이다. 이를 통해 라캉의 정신분석 이론이 비대면 렉처 퍼포먼스의 미학을 연구하고 분석하는 연구 방법론으로서 기능할 수 있음도 함께 제시하고자 한다.
