The purpose of this paper is to enhance the status of philosophy as a fundamental study which corresponds to the idea of education that demands the modern society. In order to reach the goal, I analyze critically the antinomic actuality where pedagogy and philosophy negate each other. And I will present a mediation possibility of education and philosophy from a viewpoint of a paradigm shift from subjectivity to intersubjectivity. I believe that the aim of education should be based on becoming a subject each other and education has to be a process of criticizing and communicating. And indeed, this process is a place for philosophy as a fundamental study. Further, I analyze the change of the examination system as an actual example such as, LEET and SAT etc. in which there is reinforced role of philosophy. And I will suggest practical alternatives to redefine the identity of philosophy in the area of research and education.

본 논문의 주된 목적은 현대사회가 요구하는 교육이념에 부합하는 기초학문으로서 철학의 위상을 정당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 필자는 교육과 철학이 서로를 부정하는 이율배반적 현실을 비판적으로 분석하고, 주관성에서 상호주관성으로의 패러다임 전환이라는 관점에서 교육과 철학의 매개가능성을 제시할 것이다. 서로가 주체됨을 지향하는 교육은 비판과 소통의 과정이 되어야 하고, 바로 이 과정이야말로 기초학문으로서 철학이 있어야 할 자리다. 나아가 필자는 철학의 역할을 강화하고 있는 실례로 법학적성시험(LEET)과 대학수학능력시험 등 각종 시험제도의 변화를 분석하고, 연구와 교육의 영역에서 철학의 정체성을 재정립하기 위한 실천적 대안을 제안할 것이다.
